Product Listing Optimization
• When it comes to Daraz product listing, there are six elements associated with it.
• Here is a list of parameters you must focus on to optimize your product listing.
• Make sure to follow them diligently and watch your ranking skyrocket in no time.

Description Description
Product Title
● Your listing should contain at least 120 characters.
● Include potential keywords in the title but use dashes (-) or pipes (|) to break the
keywords. This improves readability and doesn’t look confusing.
● Include key product details such as the product type, brand name, color, and any
unique features.
● Keep it concise and easy to understand.
● Ensure that the title aligns with your brand’s style and image.
● If the product is a multi pack. Mention the quantity. Example: 15-pack, set of 5, etc.
● Make sure to use relevant keywords to ensure your listing appears before relevant
leads.
● Capitalize the first letter of each word in your product title. Do not use all caps.
● Use numeric values instead of spelling numbers out, for example, 7 instead of
seven.
● Do not use repetitive / offensive language or special symbols (e.g. !, *,?, etc)
Product Image
• Capture close-up, clear shots from different angles for a comprehensive
product view.
• Ensure good lighting to showcase accurate colors and product details
• The product should be properly focused in the center.
• The product should occupy 80% of the space provided
• No. of images must be at least 4 and max 8.
• Resolution at least 1000 pixels with 1x1 aspect ratio to avoid blurred
images
• Size chart inclusion is a must for apparel, shoes and lingerie
• Keep the image background white or grey (F5F5F5)
• The main image should only include the main product. It shouldn’t have
accessories, boxes, or other items with it.
• Image shouldn’t Include logos, texts, or watermarks.

Product Videos
• Create a short and engaging product video, ideally under a
minute, highlighting the key features and benefits of the
product.
• Show different angles and demonstrate how the product is
used.
• Ensure the video is shot in high-resolution and well-lit to
showcase the product details accurately
• Choose a clean and uncluttered background that
complements your product.
• Ensure that the audio is clear.
• Incorporate text overlays to highlight key information such
as name, features, or any promotional offers.
• Easily create and upload your product video using your
smartphone. Or simply upload the video on YouTube and
insert the URL into your product listing.
General Video Requirements:
● Ensure that the video size is below 500MB
● Use the recommended video ratios of 16:9 and 1:1.
● Use a minimum video resolution of 720p for
optimal quality.
● Supported video formats include mp4, wmv, avi,
mpg, flv, mov, and 3gp.
Size Chart
In ecommerce, sizing is particularly an issue
because customers don’t have the opportunity to
try on items. Hence, it’s important to focus on
providing proper size guides. Follow these steps to
upload a perfect size guide:

Step 1: Upload product and select category
Login to seller center and add your product as you normally would. The
category you select will determine whether a size chart is required
Step 2: Find the size chart
As you fill out all necessary product listing details, in the ‘Price & Stock’ segment you can
find the size chart option.
Step 3: Select size chart
If you have already configured a size chart before, you may select it now. You
can also then preview the size chart to ensure its content fits the current
product.
Step 4: Create a new size chart
If you wish to make any changes, you may do so now. The size chart can easily be edited &
updated during the preview. However keep in mind that this will impact all products that
are related to this particular size chart.
Sellers can create a new size chart by
clicking on the +Create New button.
A default size chart template will pop up.
The attributes need to be filled out and all
contents can be freely edited by seller for its
product measurements (minus the chart
title).
Any new size chart created by sellers will be
available for future selections with products
in same category

Short Description
• List the most important features of your product such as
colour, size, fabric/material.
• Use at least 4 bullet points.
• Make it short and objective (ideally two to three words per
highlight)
• Make sure that the first letter of every bullet point is
capitalized.
• Include unique details that help distinguish your product from
your competitors.
• Do not use too many keywords unnecessarily.
• Do not use special characters or symbols.
• Do not include shipping, promotional information or
subjective comments like “hot-selling”.
• Refrain from using repetitive or offensive language
Long Description
• A product description should be concise, clear, and should be clear in explaining what
your product does.
• Start the description with a captivating opening that highlights the unique qualities or
purpose of the product
• Give descriptive and factual information.
• Highlight the important features (color, size, gender and etc)
• Highlight the benefits, exclusivity, limited availability or any promotional offers to
encourage customers to make a purchase
• Capitalize the first letter of every sentence.
• Check for grammatical and spelling errors.
• Include the brand name, model number, and series even if they are used in the title
already.
• Don’t use time-sensitive or subjective terms like “hot-selling this year, great value, etc.”
• Avoid including shipping or promotional information.
• Add images in the Long description for more clarity regarding your product.
What’s in the Box?
• Ensure that the “What’s in the Box” description clearly
mentions the actual contents of the package.
• List any additional items that are included in the package.
• Describe the packaging in which the product is presented.
• If there are any items shown in the product images that
are for display purposes only and not included in the
package, clearly state that they are not included to avoid
any confusion.
