Mobile Legends Tournament Mechanics
Event Overview:
The Mobile Legends Tournament will be held to celebrate the 32nd
Foundation Anniversary of PCT CALINAN. The tournament will showcase the
competitive spirit, teamwork, and skills of students in this popular mobile
game. The event will involve elimination-style matches leading to the grand
finals.
General Guidelines:
1. Eligibility:
o The tournament is open to all students currently enrolled at
Philippine College of Technology, Inc, Calinan Campus
o Players must form teams of 5 members each. Teams can include
students from different year levels, but each team must be
registered with the same school.
o Registration is required before the event to secure a spot.
2. Registration:
o Teams must register on January 11, 2025 at 12 :00 am through
in-person registration
o Each team must submit their team’s name and the list of team
members upon registration.
o Late registrations will not be accepted.
3. Tournament Format:
o The tournament will follow a single-elimination format (knock-
out).
o Each match will be played in 5v5 format on the Classic mode
or as otherwise determined by the organizers.
o Matches will be played within a set time limit or until one team
wins by destroying the enemy base.
o The tournament will be held in best-of-one series for all rounds
except the grand finals, which will be best-of-three.
4. Schedule:
o The tournament will begin on January 11,2025 at Room 204
o Matches will be scheduled at 12 : 00 am with breaks between
rounds.
o The match schedule and brackets will be shared at least 24 hours
before the tournament starts.
5. Game Settings:
o Map: Land of Dawn
o Mode: Classic
o Bans: No bans (unless stated otherwise by the organizers).
o Heroes: All heroes are available.
o Level Cap: Players can choose from heroes they have unlocked.
o In-Game Time: Matches will be limited to a maximum of 15
minutes. If no team has destroyed the enemy base, the match
will be decided based on the current score at the 15-minute
mark.
6. Code of Conduct:
o All participants are expected to show sportsmanship and respect
for fellow players, organizers, and the audience.
o Any form of cheating, including using third-party applications or
exploiting glitches, will result in immediate disqualification.
o Toxic behavior, harassment, or abusive language towards
opponents will not be tolerated.
o Players must follow the rules set by the Mobile Legends platform
and the event organizers.
7. Technical Requirements:
o Participants must use their personal mobile devices for the
tournament.
o Players should ensure their devices are fully charged and
connected to a stable internet connection.
o It is the responsibility of each team to ensure that their device
and game client are functioning properly before the match.
8. Prize and Recognition:
o Champion:
o Certificates will be awarded to the champion team only.
o The winning team will be recognized during the school’s
Foundation Day celebration.
9. Dispute Resolution:
o Any issues or disputes that arise during the event should be
immediately reported to the event coordinators.
o The decision of the event organizers will be final in all matters of
dispute.
Important Notes:
Participants must arrive at the tournament venue at least 30 minutes
before their scheduled match for device setup and team briefing.
Participants who are 30 min late will be forfeited.
The organizing team reserves the right to change the rules or schedule
if necessary and will notify participants in advance.
