Farewell Speech

Good morning, respected teachers, esteemed guests, and my dear friends.

Today marks a bittersweet moment in my life—a day to celebrate the journey we’ve shared, yet
to bid farewell to a school that has been our second home, shaping us, guiding us, and preparing
us for the challenges ahead. Standing here today, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and nostalgia
as I look back on the precious moments that have made my journey at STS School (Minto
Circle), AMU, so special and unforgettable.

It feels like only yesterday that I walked through the gates of this esteemed institution to begin a
new phase of my life. The first day at STS School was a whirlwind of emotions—anxiety,
curiosity, and excitement all mingled together. For me, it was the start of a new chapter, filled
with unfamiliar faces and unknown opportunities. Little did I know that those strangers would
become an integral part of my life and this place would hold a special corner in my heart forever.

When I entered the classroom for the first time, I was delighted to spot some familiar faces—
friends from my old school. Seeing Aayan, Mamoon, and Aditya gave me a sense of comfort and
belonging in an otherwise unfamiliar environment. Their presence reassured me that I was not
alone in this journey, and together we could embrace the challenges and joys that lay ahead.

STS School is unique in so many ways, but one thing that truly stood out for me was the
theology classes—both Shia and Sunni. It was in these classes that I met Syed Raza Abbas Zaidi,
someone who has become one of my closest friends. Incidentally, our roll numbers were
consecutive—mine being 42 and his 43—which meant that we often found ourselves sitting next
to each other during exams. I remember those moments vividly, helping each other in the exam
hall and strengthening our bond through shared experiences.

As I settled into school life, I chose Physical Education as my optional subject. This choice not
only gave me the opportunity to stay active and healthy but also introduced me to new friends
from different sections. Playing football during PE periods was not just a sport for me—it
became a medium to connect with people like Rayan and Aatir, who have since become an
important part of my life. Through these games, I learned the values of teamwork, perseverance,
and friendship.

Time, as they say, flies. Slowly but surely, the days turned into weeks, and weeks into months,
and before I knew it, 11th grade had passed. It was in 12th grade that my school journey took on
a new dimension, filled with memorable experiences that I will cherish forever.

In 12th grade, I discovered a new passion—playing badminton. My classmates Dev, Mayank,

Sundrya, and Aditya joined me in this pursuit, and together, we had a fantastic time on the court.
The games were not just about winning or losing; they were about bonding, laughing, and
creating memories that we will carry with us for a lifetime.

One of the most unforgettable moments of my school life occurred in 12th grade—the first time I
ever bunked school. With my partner-in-crime, Raza, we decided to take a daring step and jump
over the wall of the mosque. We spent the day sitting in Chhuuing, talking, laughing, and simply
enjoying the freedom that comes with breaking the rules once in a while. It was a small act of
rebellion, but it brought us closer as friends and gave us a story to tell for years to come.

One of the most memorable moments of my school life was bunking class for the first time.
While it was a small act of rebellion, it taught me that stepping out of my comfort zone and
taking calculated risks can lead to unique experiences and memories. There were times when I
doubted myself, whether it was during exams, sports competitions, or public speaking. However,
I learned that believing in my abilities and trusting the process is essential for success.
Confidence comes from preparation, and self-doubt fades when you focus on your efforts rather
than the outcome.

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude—for my teachers who guided me, my

friends who stood by me, and my family who supported me unconditionally. Gratitude has taught
me to appreciate the people and opportunities in my life, making every moment more
meaningful. To my juniors, my journey at STS School has been filled with lessons, laughter, and
growth, and I hope you make the most of your time here. Remember that success is not just
about grades but also about the person you become through your experiences. Stay focused, stay
curious, and never lose sight of your dreams. As you navigate your own journey, take every
challenge as an opportunity to grow and every moment as a chance to learn. These years will
shape your future, but more importantly, they will shape who you are. Make them count, and I
wish you all the very best for the incredible journey ahead.

And now, here we are, standing at the threshold of the future. The journey of school is coming to
an end, and it feels surreal to think that in just a few days, we will be leaving this place that has
been our sanctuary, our playground, and our learning ground for so many years.

As I reflect on my time at STS School, I cannot help but think of the incredible teachers who
have been our mentors and guides. They have not only imparted knowledge but have also taught
us life lessons that will stay with us forever.

• Amjed Sir, our class teacher, has been a constant source of support and
encouragement, always pushing us to do our best and believe in ourselves.
• Ghazala Ma’am, who taught us English in 11th grade, made literature come alive
with her passion and creativity, inspiring us to explore the world of words and ideas.
• Ilyas Sir, our Maths teacher in 11th grade, patiently guided us through complex
problems and equations, helping us develop logical thinking and analytical skills.
• Adnan Sir, who taught Physical Education, encouraged us to stay active and
embrace the spirit of sportsmanship.
• Muntaz Sir, our Maths teacher in 12th grade, challenged us to push our limits and
find joy in solving the toughest problems.
• Shumaila Ma’am, who taught us English in 12th grade, instilled in us a love for
language and expression, teaching us to communicate effectively and eloquently.
• Rizwan Sir, our Physics teacher in 12th grade, sparked our curiosity about the
universe and helped us appreciate the beauty of science.

To all our teachers, thank you for your dedication, patience, and unwavering belief in us. You
have been our role models and our guiding lights, and we are forever grateful for your
contributions to our lives.

And also as I feel a deep sense of responsibility to share the advice and lessons that have shaped
my two years here. These years have been transformative, filled with challenges, triumphs, and
moments of self-discovery. To my juniors, I hope my experiences can offer you guidance,
motivation, and inspiration as you navigate your own paths.

Advice for Juniors

1. Embrace Discipline and Time Management

The final years of school are a whirlwind of academics, extracurriculars, and personal
commitments. It is easy to feel overwhelmed, but discipline and time management can be your
greatest allies. Start early, prioritize your tasks, and create a schedule that balances study with
leisure. Avoid procrastination, as it only leads to stress and missed opportunities.

2. Build Strong Relationships

One of the most important aspects of school life is the friendships you form. Invest in
relationships with your peers, teachers, and mentors. Surround yourself with people who inspire
you, challenge you, and support you. These connections are not just for school—they often
extend into life beyond these walls.

3. Focus on Academics but Don’t Ignore Extracurriculars

While academics are undeniably important, extracurricular activities play a significant role in
shaping your personality and broadening your horizons. Participate in sports, debates, cultural
events, and any activity that sparks your interest. These experiences will teach you teamwork,
leadership, and the ability to adapt—qualities that textbooks alone cannot instill.

4. Seek Help Without Hesitation

If you’re struggling with a subject or feeling unsure about a decision, don’t hesitate to ask for
help. Your teachers are here to guide you, and your peers can offer valuable insights. Seeking
help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and it can make a significant difference in your learning
experiences.

School life is fleeting, and before you know it, it will be over. Appreciate the small moments—
laughter with friends, lessons in the classroom, and even the challenges you face. These
memories will become the stories you cherish later in life
And at last to my dear friends and classmates, thank you for the laughter, the camaraderie, and
the memories. Together, we have celebrated victories, faced challenges, and grown into the
individuals we are today. As we go our separate ways, let us carry the lessons we have learned
and the friendships we have built.

And finally, to STS School, thank you for being more than just a place of education. You have
been a home, a community, and a source of endless joy. As we step into the future, we will carry
your legacy with pride and strive to make you proud.

In closing, I would like to say that this is not a goodbye but a heartfelt "see you later." The bonds
we have formed and the memories we have created will stay with us forever, reminding us of the
incredible journey we have shared.

Thank you, everyone, for being a part of my story. May we all find success, happiness, and
fulfillment in the next chapter of our lives.

Thank you.
