Tiffany: oh, I just got here

*diane enters, pulls chair away and sits down*

Rose: are you ok?

Annie: yeah, I’m just a klutz

Annie: hi, I’m Annie

Rose: I’m rose

*both go and sit down*

Diane : give me a break

Tiffany: what’s her problem?

Annie : I’m used to it by now

Annie: how many of these support groups have you guys been too?

Rose: this is my second

Tiffany: its my 3rd

Annie: right Diane, 4th time lucky! Maybe this will fix us

Diane: I doubt it

Tiffany: I take it you two know each other?

Diane : unfortunately

Rose: how did you two end up here?

Diane: trust me, it wasn’t up to us

Annie: right that’s enough of trip down memory lane for today, let’s
get started!

*everyone stands up*

Everyone: god grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot
change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the
difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace; taking, as he did, this
sinful world as it is, I would have it; trusting that he will make all
things right if I surrender to his will; that I may be reasonably happy
with him forever in the next. Amen.

*everyone is sitting down again*

Tiffany: I’m Tiffany by the way

Rose: so Tiffany, what’s your story?

Tiffany: I have this problem, an addiction even. I thought I had it

under control

Jack: I don’t know dad, I told you I’m working on it

Mother: he’s working on it

*saskia sighs*

Father: did you just sigh at your mother?

Jack: yes, I’m just so sick of being the only one in the wrong in this
house

Jack: Tiffany, are you going to tell them what I found in your room or
am I?

Tiffany: jack please don’t

Jack: Tiffanys been taking pills again

*everyone freezes, evie stands up*

Tiffany: I really have been trying, I went to rehab, I did everything I

could but it didn’t help. There’s just this black hole that constantly
follows me around, I do one thing wrong and I get sucked back in
again. Just one little pill and I get sucked back into it. Then there’s my
dad the biggest hypocrite I know, he hates me because we’re so
alike. And my mum she lives in constant fear, having to watch her
every move waiting for him to snap. And jack he doesn’t care about
me either, he doesn’t care about anything really.

Mother: are you serious?

Father: tiffany, you told us you had this under control, I warned you
what would happen if you did this again.
*father stands up*
*mother holds tiffany hands*

Mother: you know what this means, your going to have to go back to
rehab

Tiffany: mum please, mum I cant go back there

Father: no, no rehab. We’re not responsible for you anymore. I’m not
having an addict in my house

Tiffany: I’m sorry dad , nothings working

Father: *slowly getting louder, approaching her*: get out, get out…
