4 Read the film reviews and decide which film the sentence refers to. Two sentences ( ... / 4 p.)
will refer to one film. Przeczytaj recenzje filmowe i zdecyduj, do których filmów odnosi
się dane zdanie. Dwa zdania odnoszą się do tego samego filmu.
A. Over the hills Two brothers move from the countryside to a big modern city. They are
fascinated about everything they see. They want to get close to other kids from their new
school and therefore they do their best to make friends. Their ideas are sometimes strange
and not really acceptable. You won’t even believe it! It’s an animated cartoon which is not
only for kids. Your parents will have fun, too. The characters are hilarious and super fun
to watch. Don’t miss it!
B. Lost in San Diego The title of the film doesn’t tell you anything. It sounds more like a
comedy or an adventure film. But you will be surprised. The story is very simple – a man
goes to the USA because he is going to meet his future wife there. Before he comes there,
he travels by planes, buses and trains. Whenever he comes to a certain place, he sings
about the people he sees, food he eats or hotels he sleeps in. The whole plot is dominated
by music, songs and dances. Nothing special, but worth seeing on a lazy day.
C. Running pigs Bob Merton is the most famous director of cartoons which are
extremely popular with children. This time he decided to move towards comedies and it
was a good try! Three pigs live peacefully on a farm. One day the farmer buys a huge dog
for his son. The dog loves pigs, but his favourite activity is chasing them. Pigs ‘pack their
backpacks’ and start running. The dog is even more excited about this! Just try to imagine
what adventures wait for the running pigs and how the town reacts to animals in shops,
museums, schools etc. Really funny! You won’t get bored.
D. The Noise It’s not a family film, so if you prefer comedies, choose something else. Set
somewhere in the forest, full of frightening scenes the film tells the story of a young
student who ran away from home. He’s trying to come back now, but it’s not so simple.
The only living creature he meets is a small black cat. Together they try to find the place
where strange music comes from. I promise - you won’t sleep at night. The noise won’t
let you close your eyes.
