Advancing Utility PC Technology
Based on License agreement with Foster wheeler in 2008. BHI launched to design and manufacture Pulverized 
Coal Fired Boiler covering subcritical as well as supercritical steam technology.
GOING SUPERCRITICAL
Wall-fred  pulverized  coal  (PC)  steam  generators  with  advanced  BENSON  vertical-tube(BVT)  supercritical  steam  technology  can 
achieve plant efciencies well beyond conventional subcritical drum-type units, thereby producing more electricity and less emis-

FULL PENETRATION TUBE TO HEADER WELDS
Full penetration welds are used for each transfer tube to header weld. Fur-
thermore, each joint is radial to assure the highest quality weld. These fea-
ture enable to undergo fast transients and thermal shocks without the risk 
of weld cracks and tears associated with lower quality welds.

FLEX TUBE ASSEMBLY 
Every heat transfer tube in every section has at least one tube bend. 
This fex tube design means that there is inherent fexibility in the 
tube itself, allowing the tube to handle fast start-ups, upsets and 
transients without deformation, cracks and tears.
UPFLOW/ DOWNFLOW ECONOMIZER CIRCUITRY 
Feedwater heating is performed in FW patented inverted U-bend economizer 
with  pure  counter  fow  circuitry  to  eliminate  the  problem  of  low  velocities, 
which are associated with poor economizer performance.
VIRATION RESTAINT 
BHI HRSG Vibration restraint system consists in an assembled grid bars 
spacied each certain distance to avoid tube bundle vibration, which is 
induced by perpendicular gas fow to the tubes.
HP. LP Feedwater Heater
BHI  has  designed  and  manufactured  the  Low  and  High  Pressure  Feed Water  Heater 
that can meet extreme performance criteria. Computerized thermal and mechanical 
design  plus  extensive  background  in  seismic  and  stress  analysis  provides  further  as-
surance  to  users  of  the  highest  reliability  equipment  and  its  inside  is  divided  into  3 
Zones, Desuperheating Zone, Condensing Zone, Drain Cooling Zone.

  Moisture Separator Reheater (MSR)
The  moisture  separator  reheaters  function  is  to  improve  the  quality  of  the  high-pressure  tur-
bine  exhaust  steam  before  it  enters  the  low-pressure  turbine. The  operation  mechanically  re-
moves the moisture from the high-pressure turbine exhaust, then reheats the dried steam al-
most to its initial live steam temperature by passing it though bundles of hot tubes. This drying 
and reheating operation minimizes erosion of the low-pressure turbine buckets as well as the 
momentum losses due to excessively moist steam. The net results are increased plant efficiency 
and longer life of the low-pressure turbine.
  Stainless Steel Liner Work (SSLW)
Stainless Steel Liner Work is a passage that encourages not only safe preservation of the chemical and radioactive 
materials such as the new nuclear fuel and spent nuclear fuel but also their replacement and transfer canal Stainless 
Steel Liner Plate which is located on wall of the concrete water tank prevents the outfow of cooling water and the 
infow of pollutant. 
  ECCS Sump Strainer
In the event of a loss of coolant accident, Emergency Core Cooling Systems must provide a reliable flow of coolant to 
the reactor vessel for safety. Fibrous insulation and other debris released from the accident can collect on containment 
sump screens and reduce the liquid pressure available to cooling pumps resulting in loss of emergency core cooling

A  device  that  gradually  cools  hot  coke  produced  from  a  coke  oven  by  using  nitrogen  gas,  this  can  get  coke  in 
uniform size. This applies the environment-friendly cooling type that there seldom occur cooling water and fne 
dust. So this can greatly reduce coke crack compared with the current wet type (rapid cooling) using water and 
also improve coke quality. CDQ boiler is a waste heat boiler that generates steam by using waste heat generating 
in the system and operates a turbine by using the steam and then generates electric power.
BHI produces high efciency energy recycling equipments and so suggests clients the fundamental energy reduc-
tion measure in preparation for the high oil price era.

Converters normally process 300 tons or more of scrap and hot metals in a single batch or heat. The 
scrap is added frst, followed by the hot metal. A water-cooled lance is lowered into the the hot metal
