The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is an umbrella


organization for operating retail payments and settlement systems in
India. Established in December 2008, NPCI was created with the
guidance and support of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the
Indian Banks' Association (IBA). It is a not-for-profit organization
aimed at providing infrastructure to the entire banking system in India
