Describe a busy street before and after the

downpour.
Right outside my balcony lies NSC Bose Road, the vital link in
South Calcutta. With the birds chirping and the sun showering its
rays, the grey asphalt road transforms into a vibrant jogging
path and cycling arena in the early morning. The nearby bus
stand echoes with the sounds of bus engines and the occasional
repairs, while stray dogs add their wild barks to the scene.
The serenity of dawn is shattered by the constant hum of
vehicles, and the seemingly empty road quickly comes alive with
shoppers thronging to the market. Rickshaw pullers line up,
commuters fill the street, and a myriad of vehicles turns it into a
colorful kaleidoscope. The road, like a dynamic artery, connects
different parts of the city, with the flurry of commuters
resembling the flow of blood
A captivating sight is the tea stall near the bus stand, always
bustling with office-goers enjoying their tea and engaging in
animated 'adda' on various topics. The LG, Samsung, and
Khadim’s showrooms open around that time, shops and
businesses come to life, and the street becomes a lively hub of
activity. There's always someone in a rush, waving their hand
and crossing the street when the green signal is on, causing
abrupt halts and shouts from drivers. Motorcyclists, especially
the delivery boys, maneuver through traffic, rushing down the
road
In the warm afternoon winds, the scorching heat keeps people
indoors. The blue skies turn dark grey, and anticipation builds.
Nature takes the stage as the heavens open, and the drizzle
begins. Passersby seek shelter under stalls, and the dull grey
streets fill with umbrellas. The fragrance of wet earth mingles
with the rhythmic sound of raindrops, creating a cultural
symphony. In a distant corner, a talented musician sings
Tagore’s "Megh Dekhechilo Tara," leaving onlookers in awe.
The rain persists into the night, casting a warm glow on wet
sidewalks. Local eateries serving hot rolls and samosas offer a
refuge for those seeking shelter. Unfazed by the rain, vehicles
continue to ply the streets, creating a harmonious blend of
urban life and nature's whims. The raindrops, tumultuous yet
melodic, create a beautiful symphony resonating through the
wet streets.
Rain has the power to change all of us and our emotions, does it
not ? It transformed the chaotic street into a wonderful
spectacle. Maybe, through those simple raindrops, nature also
wanted us to pause and appreciate its beauty in those
unanticipated downpours. Even though urbanisation is the new
trend, no force is perhaps as unexpectedly beautiful as nature
is !
