LA 3706

Product Information
LA 3706 has been developed as a sprayable, synthetic polymer based laminating adhesive for
bonding Urethane (or Vinyl) coated Synthetic Fabrics.
For best results, LA 3706 should be mated before fully dry, while still aggressively tacky. A pre-
test of tack on the fabric to be bonded is recommended, since absorption and drying speed vary
with substrates used. Spray a typical coating thickness over a piece of sample fabric, and check
tack by pressing with finger over a coated section. The product should feel aggressively
“gummy” upon finger contact, but not transfer from the substrate surface. Continue testing at 10
seconds intervals until adhesive coating is no longer “gummy” to the touch. This range over
which the product is tacky, but will not transfer, is your effective bonding “window”.
The product may also be used by mating coated surfaces while still wet to the touch. However,
subsequent bond development will depend upon porosity of the substrate material. The
development of maximum strength along the glue line will occur only after residual solvent has
evaporated; therefore wet laminations will take longer to develop full strength. Trial laminations
under such conditions are necessary to determine the final bond strength of the product.
Aggressive tack may be restored to a fully dried film of LA 3706 by application of heat (175-200
deg. F. for 30-60 seconds) or by wiping the dry adhesive surface with a cloth saturated with
Methyl Ethyl Ketone.
NOTE: The Federal EPA has de-listed Acetone as a VOC. In addition it is not reportable under
SARA Title 313. LA 3706 contains a high percentage of Acetone (consult MSDS for solvent
content), therefore this product has a relatively low VOC in States that have followed the Federal
EPA ruling.

RECOMMENDED STORAGE CONDITIONS: 45-85 Deg. F. Keep out of direct sunlight. Mix well before use.
The results listed are based on tests run under controlled lab conditions. Since the ultimate use is
beyond our control, these results are not guaranteed. Pre-testing should be conducted to confirm
the application procedure using the actual substrates under true field conditions to ensure results
