Practice Exercise
Read the following passage and sort the underlined words into the table below.
Michael and Lily live in a big house in New York City. The house is theirs, and they love spending
time in it. Every morning, they take the subway to school. Michael studies mathematics, and Lily prefers art.
After school, parents often take them to Central Park to play, but the park isn’t theirs—it belongs to the city.
On weekends, the family visits different museums or dines at Bella’s Bistro, a favorite spot of theirs. Michael
enjoys reading books, especially his, while Lily is proud of the drawings in hers. In the evenings, it is always
lively with laughter as they sit together and talk about the day. Occasionally, the grandparents join them,
sharing stories from theirs, which always make Michael and Lily smile. Both Michael and Lily dream of
traveling to Paris someday, where they hope to create beautiful memories.
