arrested without cause by Det. Michael Dye, Lt. Thomas Fabrizi, Sgt James Gerrity and/or Jean
Fransisco on suspicion of possession or sale of marijuana. At the 30th precinct plaintiffs were subject
to a strip search. Plaintiffs were held for 24 hours. In January 2018 the narcotics charges against both
Plaintiffs were dismissed.

Description: On August 31, 2016, plaintiff was searched under false pretenses by officers Richard
Alvarez and Anthony Chow. Officer Alvarez directed officer Chow to stop, search, detain, and arrest
plaintiff because Alvarez claimed he witnessed plaintiff hand a 3rd-party an unknown item in
connection to a drug deal. Officer Chow falsely claimed he recovered multiple empty zip-loc bags
from the plaintiff. Officers Alvarez, Chow, and Fernando Bonilla battered and assaulted plaintiff by
administering handcuffs (amongst other events). Officers Chow, Alvarez, and Bonilla fabricated a
false narrative regarding the events leading to the arrest, fully aware this false arrest would violate
