NMSCST’S CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE

Day 1. GETTING TO KNOW ME AND YOU

GUIDE QUESTION: Ask students to introduce themselves along with a fun fact, a favorite Activity, or
something unique about their hometown.

Orientation About the Course

1. Course Requirement
Each student is required to:

1)submit individual/group assignments/ portfolio of outputs;

2) give a presentation of topics assigned to him/her, and,

3) pass the major exams.

2. Class Policies
Quizzes/Projects/Major Exams

● Quizzes are either announced or unannounced. No special quiz shall be given to the student who failed to take the
quiz even for a valid reason.

● Projects are also very important components of the students’ performance.

● Major examinations are compulsory and failure to take any of them will result in an INC grade.

● The following cases shall be considered valid to take special examination: sickness, accident, death of immediate
member of the family, unwanted environmental conditions. The special examination is within one week after the
scheduled examination upon presentation of the receipt.

Class Participation and Attendance

● Class participation is encouraged; however, a polite attitude and manner of speech will be expected of all students
towards each other and towards the instructor, at all times.

New Normal Class policies

1. Manage your time well. Schedule properly your reading assignments and your activity accomplishments. Have your
planner or calendar of activities ready. Remember you have other modules to accomplish for this semester.

2. Focus your attention. Make sure that you do things one at a time. Read the material over and over until you are able
to get the point of the discussion. If you do not understand the lesson, you can read other materials found in other
resources like the internet or books.

3. Give your best. In doing assessment tasks, target the highest standards because you are better student. You have the
knowledge and skills you need to finish with quality of your work. I believe in you.

4. Submit on time. Before the end of midterms and finals, you will be submitting the accomplished activities in the
modules through correspondence.

5. Answer confidently. In answering the assessment and evaluation activities you are expected to do the following:
a) a. Write neatly and legibly and write only on the module if you are sure of your answers.
b) b. Make sure to give your answers completely and concisely. If questions need to be answered in essay form, stick to
point. Follow the specific number of words given in the instruction. Also, give proofs of your claim or point-of-view. Cite
correctly the references you use in your work.
6. Work independently. It is expected that you work on the module on your own. You can ask help from others but do
you best to do it first.

8. Contact Your Instructors. If any part of the module or lesson, you need the instructor’s help and guidance, do not
hesitate to contact them through email, messenger, or SMS. Remember, your instructors are there for the students to
ensure the completion of the course. You are only allowed to contact your respective instructor during their consultation
hours and/or working hours. If beyond, you will no longer be entertained. This is to ensure that the instructors’ working and
leisure hours are respected

3. Grading System
The grading system is averaging, that is;

Final Grade = Midterm Grade + Tentative Final Grade

Computation of grades using the formula below:

50/PS x SS + 50 = SG

Where: PS = Perfect Score


SS = Student Score
SG = Students’ Grade
