Professional experience

From March 2019 – July 2020

Head of Engineering, Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute (Dhaka)
My responsibility in this pioneer hospital of cardiac treatment is to lead all the engineering
functions of project management, building maintenance, electrical, mechanical and electro-
mechanical jobs, and maintenance of 1000 of biomedical equipment’s.
Apart from above I have been actively involved in supply chain management, accounts and
finance, HR development through training, IT functions and many more as a Senior
management Committee member.

From March 2018 – February 2019

Head of Operations, Maheen Accessories Ltd. (Madanpur, Narayangonj)
This was a contractual job for a project development of metal button manufacturing with
joint venture of China. It was basically a project management job. After successful
completion of the project in terms of trial run I got back Dhaka.

From June 2014 – February 2018

Plant Manager, SML PACKAGING SOLUTION BD LTD. (Adamjee EPZ, Siddhirganj)

My responsibilities in this pioneer Trim Supplier/Garment Accessories manufacturing plant
included Product Development (PD) responsibilities, Supply Chain Management (Local and
Overseas purchase, ware house management, inventory control), Production Monitoring &
Control (PMC), on-time delivery by maintaining product standard while keeping service level
intact, Quality Management System (QMS)/ISO, Engineering Services (Operating new Projects,
Installation/Testing/Commissioning of new machines; repairing & Maintenance management of
equipments and machineries of total plant, facility management, etc), Commercial Functions
(export, import and distribution/logistics); HR and administration, Policy formulation,
compliance management, project execution, and liaison with BEPZA Management. I was also
responsible for communications with head quarter based in Hong Kong and two mother
manufacturing plant in China.
From March 2008 – May 2014

General Manager – Factory, DEKKO ACCESSORIES LTD.

In this world class Garments Accessories Manufacturing Plant I was responsible for administration
of 1200 people (included 100 officers), improvement of service level, material planning and
procurement, coordinating 8 different production units to meet production target and to maintain
distribution schedule. I was also responsible for manufacturing budget preparation & control,
system development (Corporate Management, Quality Audit, KRA based performance appraisal,
TPM, IT), continuous improvement on manufacturing parameters, organizing monthly production
coordination meeting to streamline Operations and to ensure plant’s safety , security and industrial
health.

From October 2006- February 2008

Production Manager, BERGER PAINTS BANGLADESH LTD
Job responsibilities included preparation of yearly budget and production plan; maintain targeted
level of customer services through production of Category, Shades & pack sizes; Operating total
manufacturing management by managing man, machines, material, method & management;
Cross functional liaison with relevant departments, operation of project management; Coordinating
& participating corporate level production & working capital meeting, productivity improvement
and reducing processing cost etc. After paint manufacturing was also involved with TK group for
almost 6 months during one of its chemical project development/erection works of Caustic-Chlorine
manufacturing project in Dhaka.

From February 2005 – September 2006

Senior Manager (Production & Services), LIMO ELECTRONICS LTD

Responsible for total operations of Factory Management including Customer Service
Management, Human Resources Management, Sourcing and procurement of spare parts,
strengthening service audit, expansion of service operation to improve customer
satisfaction/Operation of CRM, Efficiency improvement for cost minimization and to improve
service income and close monitoring of monthly cost & profit analysis. Apart from the routine jobs,
was also involved as an active member of the Management committee and contributed to the
Organizational reform and improvement of operational management project.

From February 1993 – January 2005

Factory Manager, SINGER BANGLADESH LTD.

Stated career as Manager Quality and gradually moved in to Factory Manager Position. Job
responsibilities in this American-multinational included overall operation and administration of
Factory Management. From earth breaking to the construction of Singers state art of new
electronic assembling factory building at Savar; fabrication, erection (local and import) and
installation of all support facilities and structures; preparation of procurement plan (local &
imported), L/C Scheduling and monitoring, Production planning and monitoring, Inventory
control/Logistics (SCM), Budget preparation & Budgetary control, Plant Maintenance and
Engineering, Liaison with different Govt. agencies such as Labor office, Fire and Civil defense,
Department of Environment (DOE), local Union Parishad office, Rural power supply, Department of
Explosives etc and execution of “management by objective” (MBO). In addition responsibilities also
included operation of yearly maintenance program of total plant including civil works, power
distribution system, corrective & preventive maintenance of production and quality equipment’s and
machineries etc.

From May 1987 – January 1993

Production/Quality Engineer, PHILIPS BANGLADESH LIMITED

Job responsibilities in this Dutch-multinational included Execution of production plan, Designing of
production belt & support facilities, Time-motion study, efficiency drive by applying new methods &
techniques of production management, Incoming inspection of raw materials, process quality
control, outgoing quality of finished products etc.

Job responsibilities in this company included installation, maintenance & servicing of Telecom
