OUR TRIP TO
MALDIVES
By David Bernabeu, Anabel Bernabeu,
Mónica Quirós and Anaïs Martínez
Introduction
We decided on this destination because Anaïs's
family went there a few years ago and
recommended it to us. We stayed there for 1 week.
We always loved this place because of its wonderful
beaches and nice weather. Moreover se always
wanted to come here because the Maldives is a
very popular place to visit.
   Day 1: Arrival
We took a flight from Madrid to Malé, the
capital city of Maldives, it was a very long
journey with 1 scale in Doha, with a total of
2h and 30min travelling.
Then, we took a taxi and a boat to go to our
hotel, it was the Hilton Maldives Amingiri
Resort & Spa. The hotel was one of the best
thing of our trip, the facilities were
unbelievable and the food was fantastic.
Day 2: Local Attractions
The second day there, we lived a “museum day”, we explored the art and local
history, we also knew the marine life and we admired local crafts. We finished the
visit in a sea-view terrace, enjoying the landscape and sharing impressions of
Maldivian culture. We posted some photos of the museum in Instagram too.
Day 3:
Water Activities
In the third day here,we were doing Walter
activities like kayak,paddleboarding and jet
skis.We lived this so excited and we enjoyed
so much this day!
Day 4: Beach Party
This day was a very exciting day, maybe the best day in our
staycation. The Maldives beach parties are known to be the
best in the continent. Consequently, we had a lot of fun!
When we woke up, we had a shower and got ready, then we
went to the location of the party, and from 11 am until 1 am,
we partied, danced and drank. For me, the best experience
of the party is when I found an old friend at the party who
was next to ours. Together we danced until our feet couldn't
dance anymore!
Day 5: Marine Life
For the fifty day, we woke up and after a little
breakfast we went to the beach where a guide
called Alex was waiting for us. He took us to the
middle of the ocean and then we got inside the
water to see the fish. I couldn't believe, we had the
chance to see a dolphin. I was looking for Alex
when suddenly the dolphin crossed in front of me,
it was amazing.
                   Day 6: Relaxation
On this day we are going to do activities to relax since the Maldives, thanks to its nature,
is an idyllic place to relax. When we woke up we went to a yoga class at dawn on a
platform above the water watching the sea and enjoying the fish . The rest of the
morning we enjoyed ourselves on the hotel's terrace. In the afternoon we decided to go
to a spa that was highly recommended to us: the underwater spa in Huvafen Fushi. They
gave us massages, a facial treatment and finally a guided meditation session. All this
while seeing the sea, corals and fish since it is all through glass.
Last day : Shopping and retourn
This was the last day. In the morning, we went around the
Maldives to find shops with souvenirs and items to bring back to
our families as a nice memento of this special trip. Each of us
bought a souvenir. After returning to the hotel, we ate and
packed our suitcases to head home. It was an especially
memorable trip because we always have a great time with
friends.
