A MAGIC GOOSE

Good morning to honorable judges, teachers

and my fellow friends. Today, the title of my story is
“A Magic Goose”.

Once upon a time, there lived an old

Countryman named Mr. Grant. He lived alone in a
small hut and was very poor.

One day, he bought a goose from a merchant

and brought it back home. He never thought that he
actually had bought a magic goose! In fact, he
possessed the most wonderful Goose you can
imagine, for everyday when he visited the nest, the
Goose had laid a beautiful, glittering, golden egg!

Mr. Grant was very shocked, but soon became

very happy. He took the eggs to the market and sold
it. A lot of people will queue up every day in front of
his store just to buy the glittering golden eggs. He
earned a lot of money!

But it was not long before he started to grow

impatient with the Goose. That is because she only
gave him a single golden egg a day. It means Mr
Grant was not getting rich fast enough.

Then one day, after he had finished counting his

money, an idea came to him that he could get all the
golden eggs at once by killing the Goose. Being
greedy, he decided to cut open the Goose’ stomach.
He thought that there would be more golden eggs in
it.

Unfortunately, when the deed was done, not a

single golden egg did he find, and his precious
Goose was dead.

Mr. grant regret for his foolish action. Soon, he

became a poor person again.

So, the moral of the story is, being greedy will

make you wants more, and so lose all you have.

Thank you.
