Wanted
Wanted to pay the last respects to his mother at the funeral by going home to Carlinville, his hometown.

But upon going home, he was confronted of his past, he had to endure the spite of his Dad, Judge
Joseph Palmer, and not only that, while on the plane, when it was about to take off (since he decided to
run away from Carlinville and never as triggered by a heated argument with his Dad), his eldest brother
Glen entrusted to him the case of their Dad who was now involved in a murder/hit-and-run case.

So
So Hank took over the case and this eventually led to the Father and Son reconciliation as they have
discovered each one’s vulnerabilities and compassion for each other as father and son.
Conflicts

Man vs. Man: Hank vs. his Dad, Judge Palmer on their concept of lawyering and
accountability

Man vs. Self: Hank on hating his Dad, and yet he continued to care for him and sought his
affirmation.

Man vs. Hank on work ethics as a lawyer prior to his reconciliation with his Dad,
Judge Palmer.
