Kim Je-deok

Kim Je-deok (Korean: 김제덕; born 12 April 2004) is


Kim Je-deok
a South Korean archer.[2] He is a three-time Olympic
gold medalist, winning in the mixed team and men's
team events at the 2020 Summer Olympics as well as
the men's team events at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
He was the youngest archer competing at the 2020
Summer Olympics.

Career
Kim got into archery in 2013 when he was nine. After
an appearance on SBS's variety show "Finding Genius" Kim at the Marie Claire photo shoot in 2021
in 2016 at the age of 12, he was nicknamed the

At the 2020 Summer Olympics, Kim scored 688 points Men's recurve archery
in the men’s ranking round, beating the world record Representing South Korea
holder Brady Ellison of the United States (682 points) Olympic Games
to take first place.[3] He was paired with An San in the 2020 Tokyo Team
mixed team competition. The two became Olympic 2020 Tokyo Mixed team
Champions after defeating Steve Wijler and Gabriela 2024 Paris Team

the round of 32.[6] Although he wasn't able to place himself on the individual podium, by the end of the
Olympics, Kim Je Deok gained fame as the athlete who passionately cheered "Fighting" 15 different
times to cheer for his teammates.[7]

At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Kim won the gold medal in the men's team event with Kim Woo-jin and
Lee Woo-seok.[8]
