declares 2025 as 'year
of reforms'.
The Ministry said the focus in 2025 will be on new domains such
as cyber and space, emerging technologies like artificial
intelligence, machine learning, hypersonic and robotics.
’Year of reforms’ will be a momentous step in modernisation
journey of the armed forces,” Mr. Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister
of India said. “The reforms would aim at transforming the armed
forces into a technologically advanced combat-ready force
capable of multi-domain integrated operations.

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has died at the
age of 92 on 26 December 2024. Singh was one of India's longest-
serving prime ministers. He was considered the architect of key
liberalising economic reforms, as premier from 2004 - 2014 and
before that as finance minister from 1991 to 1996 in Mr. P.V.
Narsimha Rao led cabinet. He was also chosen as the Leader of
Opposition in Rajya Sabha from 1998 – 2004.
Jimmy Carter, the 39th
and longest-lived US
President, dies at 100.
Jimmy Carter served as the 39th President of the United States
from 1977 to 1981. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize
for work to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to
advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic
and social development.

prodigy Vaishali Rameshbabu finishing third after a stellar entry to
the knockouts. As India’s Vaishali clinched a historic bronze medal
in the Women’s section, defeating China's Zhu Jiner 2.5-1.5 in the
quarterfinals before losing to another Chinese opponent Ju
Wenjun 0.5-2.5 in the semis.
