FIRST DAY HIGH

Fun, scaring, exciting are the feelings of my first week of school. This
is a bran new experience of my life having to leave my friends and teachers
in basic school behind. New school, new friends and new teachers are all
part of this new school level.
My first day at Saint Ferdinand College-Junior High School as Grade 7
student has a mixed emotions though my cousin is also my classmate.
At first my sister who is a Grade 10 student assisted me in my
classroom. I began to look around the room and notice the differences from
my previous classrooms. Then I keep thinking that I am finally here and no
longer an elementary pupil but a high school student. It was a completely
different territory.
Next, I also notice of the other students who are looking around and I
wonder if they were thinking the same things that I am? Through out the
rest of the morning schedule, I was able to exchange views and
experiences to my seatmates, my teachers whenever they asked me. That
was the start of getting along and overcome the mixed emotions I felt.
Then when lunchbreak rolls around, me and my cousin went to
school park for our meal. This is to view around, not only for the other
people but of the new found scenery as well.
The afternoon session goes on as scheduled. I met my teachers and
feel at ease with them, They are all nice. It seems that I stayed in school
already for a quite long time because of their treatment on us.
When my last subject ends and signals to go home, I think of my first
day high seems exciting and reason for a fact that I have made a new
beginning. Lastly, I think of tomorrow and another days ahead that these
will be my big steps to learn independently and begin a new learning
adventure.
