Hackathon
2024 - 25
Dear Parents,
The Coding team is delighted to announce the Hackathon on 11th January 2025. The
Hackathon will bring together our Orchids students with diverse skills and get them to work on
creative projects or solve specific problems within a set timeframe. This intense, immersive event
will foster a dynamic environment where participants can brainstorm, code, design, and build
innovative projects.
Competition Structure
Hackathon, 2024-25 will be conducted at the School level for Grades 4, 5, G, 7 h 8 students. The
students will be required to create a project on the below mentioned module:
Programming
Grade Theme Languages Interface
Grades 4 & 5 Graphic Creation Python with Turtle
Grade G Application Development Python with Tkinter
Mu Editor/Idle/VS Code
Grade 7 Game Development Python with Pygame
Grade 8 Game Development Python with Toga
The school should follow the given timeline as this competition is being conducted across PAN India
Orchids schools:
● Participant Reporting time: 9:30 am
● Seating: 9:30 am to 9:45 am
● Classroom Preparation: 9:45 am to 10:15 am
● Reading Time: 10:15 am to 10:30 am
● Hackathon Event: 10:30 am to 1:30 pm

Pre - Event Requirements
Registration
Students of Grades 4, 5, G, 7 & 8 can participate in Hackathon, 2024-25. Participants must
register as individuals ONLY! Participants can register for the event by entering these details in
the given Google form:

Registration should be completed by 10th January, 2025.
Rules & Regulations
● The participant should have their own device.
● The required software should be pre-installed.
● Participants should report at the given time.
● The project should be submitted within 3 hours. No extension will be considered.
Student Preparation
● Participants must be registered.
● Participants have to use their devices.
● The device should have the required Mu Editor/Idle/VS Code softwares.
Certificates
Winner certificates will be awarded
