Rebuttal – Afghanistan (Defending the Need for AI Regulation)

Honorable Chair, Distinguished Delegates,

Afghanistan acknowledges the United States’ perspective that AI has the

potential to create new job opportunities. However, we must ask: who
will benefit the most from this AI revolution? The reality is that
developing nations lack the infrastructure, resources, and training
programs needed to compete in an AI-driven world

For millions of workers in low-income economies, AI does not

represent opportunity—it represents displacement. The promise of
AI-generated jobs means little if workers are not equipped with the skills
to access them.

We challenge the assumption that AI will automatically lead to positive

outcomes for all. Without proper regulations and global support for
equitable AI integration, the digital divide will only deepen. The
solution is not a blind acceptance of AI but a responsible and ethical
approach that ensures no nation is left behind.

Afghanistan reaffirms its stance: AI must be implemented to support

all nations, not just those with the means to adapt easily.

Thank you.
Closing Statement – Afghanistan (Final Argument for Ethical AI
Policies)

Honorable Chair, Esteemed Delegates,

This debate is not about rejecting AI—it is about ensuring AI serves all
of humanity, not just a privileged few. Afghanistan does not oppose
innovation; we demand inclusivity, fairness, and sustainability in AI’s
integration into the global economy.

Without proper regulations, AI will continue to widen economic

disparities. Developing nations must not be left to struggle while
advanced economies reap the benefits of automation. It is our collective
duty to ensure AI enhances human potential rather than replaces it.

We urge this committee to support policies that:

1 Provide AI education and retraining for workers in developing

nations.
2 Implement ethical AI guidelines to prevent reckless automation.
3 Promote global cooperation to bridge the AI divide.

The world must not allow AI to be a force of exclusion. We must shape

a future where AI and human labor live togather, ensuring prosperity for
all.

Afghanistan stands firm in this belief.

Thank you.
