PROBLEM STATEMENT
Food wastage is a growing global issue, with a significant amount
of food being discarded due to spoilage, improper storage, and
lack of awareness about expiration dates. This not only contributes
to environmental problems but also leads to financial losses for
households. To address this challenge, there is a need for a solution
that can help individuals monitor and manage their food
consumption more efficiently, reducing wastage and promoting
sustainable living.
Our proposed solution is a Smart Fridge.
Problem statement
visualization
Problem statement visualization is the process of
turning a problem into a visual format to make it
easier to understand. It helps break down
complex issues into simple visuals, making the
problem clearer for everyone involved.

Brainstorming
Brainstorming is a creative group activity to
generate ideas and solutions. It encourages
open-minded thinking and collaboration

The aim is to encourage open and

spontaneous thinking, leading to diverse and
innovative solutions, while temporarily setting

Mindmap
Mind mapping is a visual brainstorming method
where a diagram is used to show ideas,
concepts, or tasks connected to a central topic.
It's a useful tool for organizing thoughts,
sparking new ideas, and improving memory and
understanding.

STAKE
HOLDERS
Stakeholders are people, groups,
or organizations with an interest in
a specific project, organization, or
issue. They are impacted by its
outcomes and actions, and can
also play a role in shaping its
progress.
STAKEHOLDERS
Power A tool commonly used in project management to
prioritize stakeholders is the Power/Interest Matrix.

interest This tool classifies stakeholders based on their level

of power and interest. It helps project managers

matrix
determine how to engage with each stakeholder by
categorizing them into four groups:

1. High Power, High Interest – Manage closely.

2. High Power, Low Interest – Keep satisfied.
3. Low Power, High Interest – Keep informed.
4. Low Power, Low Interest – Monitor with minimal
effort.

Persona In design thinking, a persona is a
fictional character based on real
user research. It represents a group
of users and helps designers
understand their needs, behaviors,
and goals. This makes it easier to
create solutions that really work for
users.

Empathy Empathy mapping is a design

map thinking tool that helps teams

understand users' feelings,
thoughts, and needs. It shows user
experiences visually, making it
easier to connect with them and
pinpoint their challenges and
motivations.

Journey mapping is a visual tool
that shows how a user interacts
with a product or service over
time. It details the steps they
take, their feelings, and any
challenges they face at each
stage.
