ICA & Bamboowala Collaboration Initiative
Overview
The Institute for Career Advancement (ICA) and SS Bamboowala Private Limited,
both based in Agartala, Tripura, have entered into a strategic collaboration to: Empower
youth and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by equipping them with essential business skills,
fostering self-reliance (Atmanirbharta), and driving sustainable development.
This partnership encompasses structured offline workshops, NSDC-accredited training
programs, and specialized courses in business planning, marketing, operations, finance
& allied business aspects.
Additionally, the initiative offers a blend of free and paid learning & experiential
resources, including a dedicated YouTube channel, to maximize accessibility and
outreach. This collaboration aims to build a robust ecosystem for nurturing Tripura’s
entrepreneurial talent and enhancing community resilience.

T.A.P (Task-based Action Plan) Approach
Through this approach, we aspire to tap into the potential of SHGs &
Entrepreneurs.
The approach involves fragmenting the project into action plans with a
timeline for multiple disciplines of the project.
Further, each action plan is fragmented into small tasks with a timeline
This approach ensures SHGs & Entrepreneurs are involved in the process
of starting &/or growing the business without encountering unnecessary
workloads or backlogs, parallelly, gaining multi-disciplinary experiential
understanding.
About SS Bamboowala Private Limited
SS Bamboowala Private Limited, referred to as ‘Bamboowala’, is registered with the
Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India under Companies Act 2013. ‘Bamboowala’
is also recognized by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)
as a ‘Startup’ vide Registration No.: DIPP33879 and with Ministry of Micro, Small &
Medium Enterprise (MSME) vide Registration No.: UDYAM-TR-08-0000122.
‘Bamboowala’ was founded in 2019 with an idea to create forward market linkages for
Indian bamboo artisans, with a special focus on those from Tripura. Over the past 5
years, ‘Bamboowala’ has significantly boosted the livelihoods of approximately 33
bamboo artisans in Tripura, increasing their monthly earnings by 20–30% per artisan.
This achievement has been driven by the successful delivery of 300+ business orders
and 3,000+ retail orders through both online and offline channels, reaching customers
across India and beyond.

‘Bamboowala’ was founded by Swattik Chakraborty (24) & his mother Advocate Ajanta
