Positive effects include increased opportunities for communication and connection, while negative effects involve reduced real-life interactions and potential addiction to the virtual world. 1. What is the video about?

- Well, as you can probably guess, the content of the video is like the title: How
technology impact on the relationship. The women, names Erica, points both
negative and positive effects of the Internet on people’s relationships, based on
some actual research.
2. What are some positive & negative effects of technology on relationship that
you could listen to from the video?
- OK, fistly, is about some positive effects of technology on relationship. The point
I’d like to begin with is that thanks to the technological development, people have
more opportunities to know, meet, sharing knowledge with each others. Which
means, they can communicate with each others on the Internet, without
embarrassment. Also, you know, people who live far away still can see and talk to
their relatives by video call.
- The second point, is about some negative effects. I could start off by saying that
spend too much time for the social media will make people, like, move away from
the real life. In fact, people who frequently use the internet often have less
interactions with society (sồ sai ờ tì), and even their family’s member. And I guess
this is probably because they are too addicted in the virtual (vơ chô) world and feel
like everyone doesn't understand them.
3. Which information interests you most? why?
- And the information which I think it is really interesting is the research of thirty-
one American couples. There are seventy-two percent of them said that the Internet
have the positive effect on their relationship while 20 couples of them said the
Internet have the negative effect on their relationship. I think that in a love
relationship, they often spend more time on the internet than with other, so I
thought most of them would think it has a negative effect.
