Child Abuse
• Child abuse is a serious issue that affects children worldwide. It can
take many forms, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse,
as well as neglect. Understanding the definition, recognizing the
signs, and addressing the long-term impacts are crucial steps in
protecting vulnerable children.
Types & Definition of Child abuse
• Physical Abuse
Any non-accidental physical injury caused by a caregiver, such as hitting, shaking, or
burning.
• Emotional Abuse
Patterns of behavior that harm a child's emotional development, such as rejecting,
terrorizing, or isolating them.
• Sexual Abuse
Any sexual activity with a child, including exploitation or exposure to inappropriate sexual
content.
