Last Monday, I was walking to home from school under the scorching hot sun.

On the other
hand, I forgot to bring my umbrella hence there was no choice other than walking under that
hot sun. I felt very tired, exhausted and hungry. I was drifting about what my mother would
have cooked for lunch. Therefore, I started to walk fast so I could reach home as soon as
possible. The road was full of cars as usual because it was the time that workers and students
return home.
While I was walking on the pavement, out of nowhere I heard a loud bang behind me. I
quickly turned and saw two busses coming from opposite direction had collided each other. It
was an employee bus and a school bus. The employee bus driver lost his control and hit the
divider. It went to the opposite direction and hit the bus that was on its way to fetch students
from school. All of the passer-by crowded the incident place. There was a huge traffic jam
behind those two busses. It was a complete chaos.
As I was coming from school, I did not have my handphone with me to call the police and
ambulance. Luckily, one of the passer-by quickly took his handphone and called both the police
and ambulance without any hesitation. Meanwhile waiting for the police and ambulance, all of
us at there helped each and every people in the employee bus to come out from the
emergency window. They were all hurt and some of them were bleeding profusely. The bus
driver spot dead at the incident place itself.
Luckily, there were no students in the school bus as the bus was on its way to fetch students
from school. The school bus driver had a serious injury on his head. In about 15 minutes, the
police came followed by some ambulances. The police tried their best to clear the traffic and
the ambulances quickly brought the injured passengers and drivers to the nearby hospitals.
On the next day morning, I read about the accident and saw the pictures in the newspaper.
From the news, I got to know that the employee bus driver was fully drunk at the time of the
incident. I also get to know that no one died in that incident except for the employee bus
driver. There were few of them injured seriously. Even though it has been a week the incident
happened, the entire scene still comes alive in my mind like I am watching a movie.
From this incident, I get to realize that how precious our lives are. Therefore, it is very
important that we follow the road safety rules. It is better to be safe than sorry. Do not ever
disobey the rules while on the road. It could bring you to an end.
