GUIDELINES / INSTRUCTIONS FOR UCIL
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
Things to be brought compulsorily for admission to test/examination centre
ü Printed copy of e-Admit Card ü Original Photo ID proof as mentioned below instruction
ü Face Mask & Hand Gloves ü PET water bottle (transparent)
ü Personal hand sanitizer (50ml) ü 2 Passport size photographs
1. The candidate must bring this E-Admit Card at the Examination Centre. No candidate will be allowed entry without E-Admit Card. The candidate is also
required to bring one of the PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD (not photocopy or scanned copy) in original viz. Voter Identity Card, Driving Licence, PAN
Card, Passport, Aadhar Card along with the E-Admit Card. The identity of the candidate will be matched from the original proof. (NO COLOUR
PHOTOCOPY / SCANNED COPY / SOFT COPY OF THE IDENTITY CARD SHALL BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES). In case
E–Admit card is without photograph, candidates are advised to bring two recent passport size photographs in the examination centre (same as uploaded
in online application).
2. NO REQUESTS FOR CHANGE IN EXAMINATION DATE/SESSION/CENTRE WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
3. The candidate is required to reach/report examination centre strictly as per date & reporting time mentioned above.Candidates are advised to reach
their allotted examination centre before reporting time as mentioned in E-Admit Card so that entry formalities i.e. Thermal Scanning, Bar Code Scanning
and Photography can be done prior to allotment of computer node for appearing in examination. The entry gates of examination centre will be closed
before half an hour before commencement of Computer Based Test. NO LATE ENTRY IS ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
4. The Candidates appearing in the Computer Based Test/ Examination should, in their own interest, check their eligibility in all respects so as to avoid
disappointment at later stage. Candidature in whole recruitment process is "PURELY PROVISIONAL" subject to pending detailed scrutiny of fulfilling
the eligibility conditions as mentioned in the advertisement for the post applied for. In case, it is found at any stage that the candidate does not fulfil the
eligibility criteria and any information provided by the candidate is found false or is not in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the
advertisement including Caste Certificate, candidature of such candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after joining.
5. Candidates are strictly advised not to carry any electronic devices viz., Electronic gadgets, earphones or microphones, all type of watches, electronic or
non-electronic communication devices, hand bags, purse, calculator, log tables/pager, digital diary, book/notes and any type of metallic items etc. inside
the Examination Centre which are strictly prohibited in the examination centre. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these
devices/documents, his/her candidature is liable to be disqualified. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/ costly items or jewelry to the
examination centre as arrangement of safe keeping of the same cannot be assured and exam centre will not be responsible for safe custody, loss or
theft. Candidates are advised to see 'Additional Instruction for Candidates due to COVID-19' for showing the risk factor through Aarogya Setu App. in
Mobile Phone at the entrance of the Examination Centre.
6. Once the Capturing of Photograph is done at Registration Desk of exam centre, the Candidate should proceed to the allocated computer node and
should not leave the Examination Hall/Room till the Computer Based Test is over. After the Computer Based Test is over, the candidates must appear for
photography before leaving the computer lab.
7. The User ID and Password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the Candidate 10 minutes before the commencement of examination
at their respective computer terminal. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and Password which will be provided at examination centre to
appear for Computer Based Test. Please ensure that name, photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after Login.
8. The CBT will be of 120 Minutes and shall consist of Objective Type 120 Questions with 4 Multiple Choice Responses (Answers) out of which candidate
has to choose one correct response (answer) only.
9. Each question will carry 1 mark and there is no penalty for wrong answer. No marks will be awarded for un-attempted /marked for review questions. The
question paper will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi only. However, in case of any error/variation in Hindi, the English version of the question shall be
valid.
10. For rough work, candidates should bring at least two transparent blue ball pens. Candidates will be provided blank paper for rough work which are to be
handed over to room invigilators after the end of examination.
11. The details printed on this E-Admit card must be checked by the candidate. In case admit card mentions some other discipline/post or is without
photograph, then the candidate is advised to personally report, one day before the conduct of examination at the 'Facilitation Counter' in their respective
examination city from 10.00 AM to 02.00 PM with 2 passport size photographs and identity card along with documentary evidence/proof so that
necessary corrections are made and attested. The address of the 'Facilitation Counter' will be made available at UCIL website i.e. www.uraniumcorp.in
one week prior to examination date.
12. Anyone found to be disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of test contents in any form or any
information therein in whole or part thereof or by any means i.e., verbal or written, electronic or mechanical or taking away the rough papers supplied in
the examination centre or found to be in unauthorized possession of test content will be considered as serious misconduct and will be
debarred/disqualified from examination. UCIL will take disciplinary and legal action as per rules and such cases will be reported to police, if
necessary.Candidates must also refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of examination. If any candidate is found obstructing the
conduct of the examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall
also be liable to be debarred from future examinations of the UCIL and legal proceedings could be initiated against him/her.
13. Persons with disability of 40% or more opted for his or her own scribe for marking responses (answers) on their behalf, has to produce original medical
certificate issued by competent medical authority regarding such disability at the time of entry to the examination centre. All the candidates with
disabilities will be allowed “compensatory time” of 40 minutes (over and above the normal duration of examination i.e., 2:00 Hrs.). Candidate availing the
facility of scribe has to fill Prescribed Performa “Declaration of the Scribe (Writer)” and to be handed over to the Room Invigilator on the day of
Examination. The Prescribed Performa can be downloaded from UCIL's website i.e. www.ucil.gov.in under "RECRUITMENT" tab.
14. Please retain this E–Admit Card carefully for future records as the same is required to be produced at the time/stage of interview and checking of
documents.
15. Important: Candidates can view their individual answers/online response (own answers and answer key) from 10th December 2020 to 12th December
2020 by logging into online portal with their registered credentials. In case of query/objection in respect of any question(s) and its answer, is to be
submitted only through Online Response Link in the portal between 10th December 2020 to 12th December 2020. Response/ objection/Query related
to questions/key received through any other mode of communication/channel will not be entertained under any circumstances. Non-receipt of
objections within stipulated period, such candidates will not have any right for any future legal claim, in any court of law, for re-evaluation at later stage of
selection process.
16. The candidate should regularly visit UCIL website http://www.uraniumcorp.in for latest updates through notifications, instructions, circulars related to
this recruitment process.
17. The E-Admit card does not constitute an offer of employment to candidates and no travelling expenses will be admissible for appearing in Computer
Based Test.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES DUE TO COVID-19
1. Candidate must maintain social distancing starting from point of entry in the exam venue till his/her exit from the exam venue and follow the Signages/
Notice Board.
2. In order to maintain Social Distancing Norm in the examination Hall, the Candidates will sit at alternative Computer Nodes. In case Candidate is
having COVID-19 symptom, in that case he/ shall be allowed to appear in CBT in a separate Isolation Lab/ Hall.
3. Candidate must bring their own Face Mask, Hand Gloves, personal hand sanitizer (50ml), transparent blue ball pen, PET water Bottle (transparent)
and the exam related documents (Admit Card, Photo ID Card etc.). No other items will be permitted inside exam Lab/Hall.
4. Candidate must have Aarogya Setu App installed on his mobile phone. The Aarogya Setu dashboard must show candidate's risk factor. Candidate will
have to show this dashboard to the Security Guard at the entry into the exam venue. THIS IS MANDATORY. In case a candidate does not have a smart
phone, he/she will have to bring in a signed declaration to this effect (self-declaration is provided along with this Admit Card) and show the same to the
Security Guard at the entry into the exam venue.
5. Temperature of a candidates will be checked at the entry to the exam venue via a Thermo Gun.
6. Candidate's Roll Number and the Lab Number' will NOT be displayed outside the exam venue, but the same will be provided to the candidates
individually at the time of entry to the exam venue after their Admit Card and ID verification.
7. Candidates needs to follow directions given by Examination Centre representatives in order to observe social distancing at the entry point.
8. At registration desk, the candidate will be directed to sanitize his / her hands using sanitizer after which Photograph will be captured during the
registration process.
9. Candidates will be under CCTV surveillances from entry to exit in the examination premises.
10. Candidate is required to report at the exam venue strictly as per the time slot mentioned in the admit card which will also be informed via SMS on their
registered mobile number prior to exam date. It is expected that candidate strictly adhere to this time slot – as entry into the test centre will be provided
based upon the individual's time slot ONLY.

ONLINE EXAMINAITON INSTRUCTIONS (for CBT)
1. Total duration of examination is as mentioned in the E-Admit card.
2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time available for you to
complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit
examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of the following symbols:
The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at that question again. If a question is answered
and Marked for Review, answer for that question will be considered in the evaluation since there is no negative marking for each wrong
answer.
Navigating to a Question:
4 To answer a question, do the following:
a. Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that question directly.
b. Click on Save & Next to save answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
c. Click on Mark for Review & Next to save answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.
d. Caution: Note that answer for the current question will be not be saved, if anybody navigates to another question directly (without
saving the answer) by clicking on its question number.
Answering a Question:
5 Procedure for answering a multiple-choice type question:
a. To select answer, click on the button of one of the options.
b. To deselect chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button.
c. To change chosen answer, click on the button of another option
d. To save answer, MUST click on the Save & Next button.
e. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If an answer is selected for a question that is
Marked for Review, that answer will be considered in the evaluation since there is no negative marking for wrong answer.
