garter stitch and a beautiful little pattern
GAUGE in the middle.
21 sts x 36 rows = 4’’ (10 cm) The first skein is used from the inside
with needle US 6 (4 mm) in pattern and the second skein from the outside in
order to reverse the stripes.

PATTERN
Row 1, RS: *K3, yo, sl1k, k2tog, pass over the loose st, yo*, repeat from * to * to end.
Row 2, WS: P all sts.
Row 3, RS: K all sts.
Row 4, WS: P all sts.
Row 5, RS: *Yo, sl1k, k2tog, pass over the loose st, yo, k3*, repeat from * to * to end.
Row 6, WS: P all sts.
Row 7, RS: K all sts.
Row 8, WS: P all sts.

BLANKET
Co 174 sts and work 6 rows in garter stitch.
Count 6 sts in from each side and place a marker on each side. These sts are k on all rows
while the 162 middle sts are worked in pattern.

NB When the first skein is finished, the last stripe is blue (dark). Before moving on to the
next skein, the blue (dark) color is removed to ensure that the stripes have the same length
and the blanket does not become too long.

Work until the work measures approx approx 32.7’’ (83 cm) and the last stripe before the
edge has the same length.
Work 6 rows in garter stitch.
Bo knitwise.
