Table 1 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the respondents’ profile. There

are 68 respondents of the study and out of these respondents, 15 or 22.1 percent are male while

53 or 77.9 percent are female. This implies that most of the BSED English Major students of

QSU-Diffun Campus are female. As for the age of the respondents, 28 or 41.2 percent have ages

that is within the range of 18 to 19 years old, 27 or 39.7 percent have ages between 20-21 years

old while 13 or 19.1 percent have ages within 22 years old or older. For the year level of the

respondents, 27 or 39.7 percent are First year, 20 or 29.4 percent are Third year, 11 or 16.2 are
Fourth year while 10 or 14.7 percent are Second year. This implies that most of them are female

with the frequency of 53 or 77.9 percent, when it comes to age most of them are 18-19 years old

with a frequency of 28 and a percentage of 41.2. In the year level of the respondents most of

them are First year with a frequency 27 and a percentage of 39.7 percent while in terms of the

Reading Materials Available at Home most of them have Newspaper, Book, Magazines, Journals

with a frequency of 68 and a percentage of 100.0 percent each.
