1. Tell me about your family

Five people make up my immediate family: my dad, my

mum, my brother and my sister. All of us live in the same
house; however, I usually live away because of my job. My
dad is fifty-five years old and he is a guard. My mum is
fifty-two and she works in a restaurant. My brother is
thirty and he works in a restaurant too. And my sister is
twenty-two and she is studying.

2. Where have you been in your last

holidays?

In my last holidays I visited London. I made a trip with my

mum because she wanted to visit England. We slept in a
hotel in Elephant and Castle, near the Big Ben. In the four-
day-travel, we enjoyed Picadilly Circus, Wembley
Stadium and the best parks: Green Park and Hyde Park.
We also saw the Lion King spectacle because we saw it in
Madrid and it was amazing.

3. Tell me about your town

I live in ___(tu ciudad)____. It is a large village/city in the

area of ___(CC.AA)___ . There are
three hundred thousand inhabitants. My city is very near
from the beach, however, we need to use the car to reach it.
If you go to the center, you can visit the Cathedral, the
Castle and the archaeological Museum. Foreign people use
to have a beer in the main street.

4. What’s the weather today?

Today is very hot in my city, however, this morning was

cloudy and cold, the temperature was around 8 degrees.
But now, the sky is clear, there aren’t any cloud and the
temperature is mild, about 25 degrees. I have seen people
wearing short sleeve T-shirts and shorts. I love the weather
in my city.

5. Tell me about your favourite book

My favourite book is ____(título)____.It is a bestseller

and his author is Dennis Lehane. The main actor is a police
and he have been sent to an island which is a psychiatric
hospital and a prison. This book has also a film, which is
starred by Leonardo DiCaprio, who is my favourite actor.

6. What did you do the last night?

The last night I had dinner at ten o’clock in a restaurant

with a friend, in a restaurant in front of the beach. Then, we
went to the cinema to watch a film. The cinema is inside a
shopping centre on the outskirts of town. Before we say
goodbye, we had a drink in a pub. We had a good time
together.

I’m going to describe my home. I live in a terraced house.

When you go in you can find a hall. In front, you can go to
the kitchen and the bathroom. On the right, there is the
dining room where we watch TV and have dinner. In the
second floor, the house has three bedrooms, the second
bathroom and a large terrace. In the terrace, there are a
table and some chairs.

8. Do you like reading?

Yes, I enjoy reading. I think reading is very amusing

because the story of the book catch your attention and
make you the protagonist of the story. I really like reading
mystery books because I like not knowing what is coming
next. I also read educational books because I am a
teacher.

1) Empezar con “my country”:

are free. In my view, that is fantastic due to

their diets which have more vegetables and
fruit.

Compare the pictures

In both pictures I can see children playing in
different situations. In the first picture I can see
a couple of girls in the countryside or
courtyard. In the background there are some
big trees, and in the foreground I see the girls
playing together, with their hands, without any
toy.
WHEREAS in the second picture I can see a
little girl playing alone with a ball. I think she is
in a park and she looks like very relax. Maybe
she is looking at the camera because his
mother is taking the picture.
I think the girls in the first picture are happier
than the girl in the second picture.

Which are the advantages of living in

each place?

Well, let me think. There are many benefits of

living in these places. In the first picture, a
benefit of living in the countryside is there is
less pollution than in a city.
Moreover, there is less noise because there
aren’t cars, factories… In contrast, a benefit of
living in a big city is you can easily get all the
facilities, like the gym, shops, hospital… Another
benefit is you can find a house to rent easier
than in the countryside.
People live in these two places because they
make them happy.

Which of these type of holidays do you

prefer?

I like both holidays, but if I had to decide, I

would probably choose the first holidays for
many reasons. The first reason is that I like
to beach on the beach, despite it is hotter
than the countryside. The second reason is
that I can use my devices with wifi, in
contrast, in the countryside is more difficult
to get access to Internet.
Finally, I try to go to a hotel every summer in
the coast of Spain.

fijándonos en qué nos preguntan.

palabras, NUNCA UNA FRASE COMPLETA (se
pierde mucho tiempo)

MONÓLOGO
Well, regarding the first question, I work
nowadays like a teacher in a school of Andalucía.
I don’t have a permanent contract which means
I have to change the school every year. Working
in a school had been always my dream. I work in
primary school, teaching Spanish and
mathematics; however, sometimes I support
secondary students. The school where I have
worked this year is far from my house, but it is
very near to the beach. Therefore, I have to take
my car to reach the school. Moving to the
second question, when I start the day I am very
glad and content because I love working with
students and preparing resources for them. I am
excited when my students learn something new.
Moreover, I feel proud of myself due to the fact
that it isn’t easy to work in a school in Spain.
Finally,I think that the jobs of the future will
depend on the technology. Delivery is a good
example. I believe that new jobs will be created
that don’t exist yet.
