1 Introduction
Adolescence is the period of growth and development between childhood
and adulthood. The reason why adolescence find emotional changes hard
to handle is because of the hormones that are the critical chemicals in the
brain that bring about physical changes also affect adolescents moods and
heighten their emotional responses. Adolescence is also a time of rapid
and stressful changes in peer relationships, school expectations, family
dynamics,and safety concerns in communities.

Life roles are set of responsibilities every individual is perceived to posses,

exhibit and act from the day of birth till death.Teenagers can deal with
changes in current life roles by getting a more complete understanding of
a potential career path and learning, what the requirements are to work in
the field ,what to expect once you are working in the field and common
career progressions for a specific path .

Teenagers should research different career fields to gain a deeper

understanding of each of them and determine what they would like to
pursue.

2 The Extent Of The Problem

Social challenges teenagers experience from there peer groups are that
adolescents spend less time with their families and may focus more on
their peers. Young people also develop a greater capacity yo form
stronger relationships with adults outside of their families who may
function as mentors.

Physical changes that negatively impact teenagers relationship with peers

is that those who look different than their peers (e.g., being overweight or
underweight) are at a higher risk of being bullied by peers

Gaining of weight could negatively impact teenagers by bulling .deeper

voices often made fun of when students are in school .acne increases
during adolescence and many people mock them for this

Skipping classes, cheating, or dropping out of school, which can limit their
educational and career opportunities. - bullying, fighting, or vandalizing,
which can damage their relationships, reputation, and legal status. -
conforming to peer pressure or expectations, which can erode their self-
esteem, identity, and creativity.

2
It may lead teenagers to choosing unwanted jobs or careers.they would
not be fulfilled and satisfied with jobs when they grow up.this could also
force teenagers to do subjects they struggle with .choosing parental
careers can lead to depression and anxiety

There are two main reasons many people prefer working in tertiary
industries it is because of the pay and how popular the job is( the appeal
of the work itself)

Glorification of material wealth and high-status jobs can lead teenagers to

develop misconceptions.traditionally, certain careers or industries may be
highly regarded due to cultural beliefs about success and stability.

Take advantage of career guidance services provided by schools or other

organizations. These services can help students explore different career
options and provide information on the education and training required for
each career.attend career fairs or other events where they can meet
professionals from different fields and learn more about what they do.use
online resources such as career websites or job boards to research
different careers and learn about the qualifications required for each one.
