Timing of School

In view of ongoing cold spell and predicted dense fog in the region, the timings in all
the Govt./Govt. Aided and Private Schools of UT Chandigarh will be as under:
Government Schools/Govt. Aided Schools of UT., Chandigarh from 20.01.2025 to

25.01.2025* *

School Classes Timings of Staff Timings of Students


Single Shift Schools AllClasses 8.45 am to 2.45 pm 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
Double Shift 6th onwards 8.45 am to 2.45 pm 9.30am to 1.00 pm
Schools 1 to 5th Class 10.00 am to 4.00 pm
12.30 pm to 3.30 pm
*once school revert to normal timings, it be ensured that the teachers work with the
children to cover up for the work and syllabus that may remain outstanding during this
period.

* Pre primary classes-schoolto schedule timings in 9.30 am shift for three hours only
(b) The private schools of UT Chandigarh toopen for classes not before 9.30 am and close not
later than 3.30 pm. The schools may regulate the timings for their schoolstaff accordingly.
** To avoid disrupting the pre board examinations (if any), schools may for these pre-board
classes, if required open at 9.00 am and the timings for teachers may be regulated
accordingly.
