**LANCER** (Little backstory of Lancer as a whole)

Lancer imagines a future where a surviving humanity has spread across the stars
after braving a terrifying ecological collapse on Earth - the end of the
Anthropocene as a consequence of unrestrained consumption and poor governance. Five
thousand years later, humanity lives in the wake of a desperate revolution, one in
which its victorious radicals now wield the galaxy they vanquished.

In Lancer, players will adopt the roles of mech chassis pilots - mech pilots -
comrades united in a galaxy of danger and hope. Some groups will fight to rectify
the crimes of past administrations; others will fight for their nation, pieces in a
greater game of hegemony. Others will bear the coat of arms of a corpro-state or
mercenary company, working to advance private interests while lining their pockets.
Still others will fight for groups acting in opposition to those in power - for the
chased away, the forgotten, agents of entropy and agents of even more radical
revolutions.

**GRANT HOLLOW**
This campaign takes place in Grant Hollow. A region of space largely isolated from
the rest of the Orion Arm, its closest Blinkstation, the FTL mode of transportation
used by humanity, lies outside it, and it soon proves a challenge to cross the
great void, but at the end of this , there are the three systems in which humanity
takes shelter here: Newfall, High Marathon and Talisman.

**GRANT HOLLOW'S FORCES**

Three powers dictate what happens in Grant Hollow:
**Harrison Armory**, a Corpro-State that makes up one of the five main chassis
manufacturers in the galaxy with ambitions of empire.
**House of Sulphur**, a belligerent Minor House within the Karrakin Trade Baronies,
a client state vital to the functioning of the Union.
**Sublime Dalmath**, a Diaspora State that finds itself trying to manifest its own
destiny, but with several internal social difficulties.
These three powers, each with their own system to control, have conflicted with
each other for decades in Grant Hollow in the form of the Invisible Wars,
skirmishes and small battles for espionage, sabotage, assassination and
demonstration of power over their rivals. Other forces also act in Grant Hollow,
whether these are mercenaries from the 369th Detachment of Mirrorsmoke Company
"Hellfighters", paladins and Albatross knights from MK Cappadocia, naval logistical
protectors from Northstar Galactic Command, and other more mysterious agents...

**5016u, CURRENT YEAR**

The Invisible Wars are a thing of the past, conflict still exists, but not on the
same scale. Meanwhile, the winds howl towards an imminent storm, one that will
highlight its culprits, and escalate on a scale unimaginable. Fools and prophets
sing the same song, a "Good War", the War to end everything, bring the end to the
theater and open doors to Utopia or Death. Will you be there to see it? Perhaps.

**HARRISON ARMORY**
(*Superior by design.*)
Harrison Armory enjoys a galaxy-wide reputation for the quality of its weapons and
defensive systems. The corpro-state previously specialized in ordnance and other
armaments, making it reliant on competitors’ frames as mounts for its deluxe
equipment; however, since the overthrow of Union’s Second Committee, Harrison
Armory has broadened its product line to include an extensive range of peerless
frontline frames. On the wave of this new success, the Armory has transformed into
a burgeoning, imperial corpro-state, a mighty galactic power that directly
administers a large number of Core worlds, orbitals, and colonial prospects – this
is the Purview; all lands under the Armory’s command.

By necessity of Harrison Armory’s imperial aims, its frames tend to be sturdy. More
than that, Armory mechs are built to ensure overwhelming performance, embodying
dominance and power in their brutal, geometric aesthetics. This fulfillment of this
desire requires tremendous power, skill, and material strength.

HA - 16th COMBAT UNIT

As a result of a power struggle to get the systems of Grant Hollow, the Harrison
Armory decided to invest into a full scale military front against the other powers
in the region, the resources and profit that can be made with these systems would
outweigh the cost of the investment 5:1, making it a major point of investment not
only for Harrison Armory but also for their investors.

You'll be partaking into the 16th combat unit of Harrison Armory, either being
mercenaries, employee, someone in need of money, Harrison Armory is accepting
everyone to fight the Good War and claim the systems to them.

(Just as an addendum, you'll be from the Harrison Armory, but you don't have to use
only Harrison Armory frames, when building the character frame you'll have
