EXPECTATION
At the end of the learning period, the students should be able to:

A. discuss the procedure in drafting flared skirt pattern;


B. familiarize the given procedure in drafting flared skirt pattern;
C. show activeness in answering the given activity.

PRETEST

Directions: Read and analyse the sentence below. Underline the word that will
complete and make the procedure correct.

1. A – B is ¼ of the waist circumference (downward, upward) on the


construction line less 1 inch.
2. Sway point B to point C using a (broken lines, dotted lines) with point A
as reference
3. In cases that measurement of line B–C is not equal to ¼ of the waist
measurement, adjust towards point A if measurement is (less, more) than
what is needed.
4. C – E horizontally is the (skirt length, waist measurement)

5. Connect broken lines using the (free hand, ruler).

Procedure in Drafting Patterns for Flared Skirt.

1. Draw construction line by tracing the outer edge


of the L – square or measure 1 inch from the top
edge downward and 1 inch from left to right,
connect lines perpendicularly. Then, mark corner
as point A.

2. A – B is ¼ of the waist circumference


downward on the construction line less 1 inch.
3. A – C is ¼ waist circumference on the
horizontal construction line less 1 inch.

4. Sway point B to point

5. Check ¼ of the waist measurement on the


broken lines from point B to C.

6. In cases that measurement of line B –C is not


equal to ¼ of the waist measurement,
Adjust towards point A if measurement is more
than what is needed.
Adjust far from A if measurement is less than
what 5 is needed.
7. B – D downward is the skirts length.
8. C – E horizontally is the skirt length.

9. Sway point D to the opposite side of the construction line which is point E
with point A as reference.

10. Connect broken lines using the free hand.
