Installation Guide
In order to install the Agri Chemicals Limited Information System software on your
machine, please install the following prerequisites on your system:
1. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0:
The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is needed to provide the platform specific
support for the product software to run on the user’s machine.
2. Microsoft SQL Server 2008:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is used to provide support for the database of the
software. It also provides support to work in the client-server environment which is
prime need of the software.
3. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio is required to monitor the
activities done in the database. The management studio provides the extra support
to the SQL Server 2008 in order to maintain and monitor the data present in the
database in user friendly manner.
4. Microsoft Office 2003/07/10/12 or above
Microsoft office is used to save the reports in Excel sheet or Word sheet format.
It’s also helpful for the executive to load the quotation details in the Grideview using
Excel sheet or saving the search result in the Excel sheet format.
Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
1. Run the setup file of the .NET Framework 4.0 located in the disk.
2. Accept the license terms and click on Install button to continue with the installation.
3. The setup will verify the files and install them on your system. Click on Finish button to
end the installation.
Installing Microsoft SQL Server 2008
1. Run the setup file of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 located in the disk. The setup will extract
the setup file in the pre-specified drive.
2. Click on the installation tab. Now select the New SQL Server stand-alone installation or
add features to an existing installation option.
3. Now setup will run the Setup Support Rules. All the Setup Support Rules runs
successfully click on the Next button to continue.
4. If you have the Product Key then specify the product key otherwise select the Specify a
free edition. Now click on the Next button to proceed.
5. Check the, I accept the license terms and then Next button to continue.
6. Select the required features to install and click on the Next button to proceed to
Instance settings.
7. Select the Default Instance or Named instance as per your requirements. Click Next to
continue.
8. Check the Disk Space Requirements showed by the setup, Click on Next button to
proceed further.
9. Set services for SQL Server Configuration by selecting NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK
SERVICES from dropdown list. Click on Next button to continue.
10. To configure Database Engine select Mixed Authentication Mode. Provide strong
password in the given fields. Specify SQL Server Administrator by clicking Add Current
User button. Now click on the Filestream tab to configure Filestream for the database.
11. To enable the Filestream check all the checkboxes and then click on the Next button to
continue.
12. Now check the appropriate checkbox for setting up the Error Reporting services. After
checking the checkboxes click on the Next button.
13. Now setup will run the Installation Rules. If all the setup rules runs successfully click on
the Next button to continue.
14. Check installation summary of the SQL Server 2008 configuration. If configuration is
correct click on the Install button to install the software.
15. Setup will now install the file on your system. After the progress bar is completely fill
then click on the Next button to proceed further.
16. Click on the Close button to terminate the installation process.
Installing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio
1. Run the setup file of the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio located in
the disk. The setup will extract the file in the pre-specified drive of the computer.
2. Click on the Installation tab and then click on the New installation or add feature to an
existing installation.
3. Now, setup will run the Setup Support Rules. If all rule successfully completed click on
the Ok button to continue.
4. Accept the license terms by checking the check box I accept the license terms and click
the Next button to precede further.
5. Click on the Install button to install Set Support Files on the system.
6. When Setup Support Files are completely installed select all the required features which
you want to install. After selection click on Next button to continue.
7. Now setup will install setup files on your system. When installation gets over click Next
button to proceed.
8. Click Close button to terminate the setup.
9. Open SQL Server Management Studio from the following location
All Programs -> SQL Server 2008 R2 -> SQL Server 2008 Management Studio
10. In order to connect with server Give the SQL Server instance name as .\SQLEXPRESS
which is default instance name for all SQL server and click on the Connect button to
connect with the server database.
Installing Product Software: Agri Chemicals Limited Information System
1. Click on the Setup file and run the setup.exe. The following welcome screen appears on
your screen. Click on Next button to start the installation process.
2. Make all the setting before installation click Next to continue.
3. After conforming installation settings click Next button to install software.
4. Now setup starts to install software on your system. After successful installation of the
software setup will try to create a directory at location “C:\Agrichem”.
5. If directory created successfully, following screen appear on your screen. Click Ok to
proceed further.
6. Click on the Close button to terminate the installation process.
7. Locate the “Database.bat” and “AgriChemicalPvtLtd.sql” file in the disk. Run the
Database.bat file by double clicking on it such that both files are in the same directory.
8. If everything goes right the following screen will appear on your screen. Your database is
created with Filestream enabled feature.
9. Now run your software and login with following credentials for the first time.
Username : Admin
Password : password
