Clinical Practice Rules

a. Students are required to attend all internship days without fail. Students who
cannot attend the internship for any reason must make up for the missing
internship days.
b. Students must comply with the Nursing Department Clinical Practice Directive
published after the senate decision dated 03/09/2020.
c. Students must practice in the clinical area designated for them between 08:00-
16:00.
d. Students cannot come to the internship late and cannot continue to stay at the
clinic after the internship.
e. Students are required to sign when entering and exiting clinical practice.
f. Lunch must be eaten at designated times in hospitals.
g. Lunch time is determined by the hospital and faculty.
h. Apart from lunch, no separate break is allocated for students.
i. Students cannot leave the practice area without the permission of the faculty,
cannot change or leave the practice area, and not be in the practice area outside
the planned dates and hours.
j. Students must always carry their tools and equipment and uniform showing
their identity.
k. They are responsible for the safety of their personal belongings.
l. Students must wear the uniform determined by the faculty dean. Female
students must have their hair gathered so that it does not come out, and
students who wear headscarves must place their headscarves in the uniform;
male students must have shaved their beard and mustache. Jewelry other than
watches and ring should not be worn in the clinical area.
m. Students cannot wear uniforms when coming to or leaving the internship.
Uniforms can only be worn during the internship period.
n. Electronic devices such as cell phones must be turned off in silent mode.
o. Students may not take photographs, record audio and video recordings,
publish and share them in the clinical areas.
p. Students may not share personal information (cell phone number, address
etc.) with patients. They may not fulfill patients' material requests (such as giving
money or cigarettes, using cell phones, etc.).
q. Students must fulfill their responsibilities related to nursing care and practices
in the practice areas in a timely and complete manner under the supervision and
supervision of the relevant persons.
r. Students may only perform invasive procedures or treatment in the clinical
areas with the permission and supervision of the relevant faculty, practice
coordinator, clinical nurse, or preceptor nurse.
s. Students prepare the care plan and similar forms and reports related to their
work at the clinical area within the period notified to them and submit them to
the faculty.
t. Students comply with occupational health safety and patient safety rules
during practice.
u. Students can actively participate in in-service training programs in the clinical
area under the control of the faculty.
v. The clinical practice grade constitutes … percent of the course letter grade.
