Dr. Rajendra Prasad
Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who was the inaugural President of India, entered
the world in Bihar's Ziradei on December 3, 1884. His mother was a
housewife and his father was a well-known local farmer, so he grew up
in modest circumstances.
Prasad was a bright student who attended local schools for his early
education. Following that, he went on to study at the University of
Calcutta and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He
proceeded to pursue a legal education at the University of London,
setting the groundwork for his future engagement in politics and social
change.
During his formative years, he displayed a strong dedication to learning
and societal concerns, and he was shaped by the existing social and
political landscape in India. His upbringing instilled in him a sense of
responsibility towards his country, which motivated him to join the
Indian National Congress and play a crucial role in the fight for
independence. His commitment and guidance would ultimately have a
pivotal impact on the formation of contemporary India.

education in nearby schools, he attended Calcutta
University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Later, Dr. Prasad continued his studies at the University of
London, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws. His
education strongly influenced his belief in nationalism and
social justice, which contributed to the Indian independence
movement and his subsequent political activities.
Apart from his academic career, Dr. Prasad has a keen
interest in philosophy, history, economics and other
subjects which have helped him gain a deeper
understanding of the world. He was also excited.
Political Career
Dr. Rajendra Prasad had an important and distinguished political career, marked by his contributions to the Indian
independence movement and his role as the first President of India.
1.Early involvement: Prasad joined the Indian National Congress in the 1910s. He was actively involved in the
Non-Cooperation Movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and soon rose to prominence in the part.
2. Leadership roles: He held many important positions, including the president of the Indian National Congress in
1934 and again in 1939. His leadership was decisive during major events, including the Quit India movement in
1942.
3. Constitutional Contributions: After India's independence in 1947, Prasad served as a member of the
Constituent Assembly, where he played a vital role in drafting the Constitution of India. His deep understanding of
law and government helped shape many of his founding principles. First

Thus, his legal acumen along with envisioning a democratic society went into founding the foundational laws of this nation.
