CAUSE and EFFECT

What is the weather in the picture?

CAUSE – The reason why something happens.


EFFECT – The result of the cause or of an action/event.

Read and understand each sentence.


1. Mika ate all the cupcakes because she was very hungry?
What did Mika do?
Why did he eat all the cupcakes?
The reason why something happens is the cause. In this sentence, the reason
why Mika ate all the cupcakes is that she was hungry. Therefore, it is the cause.
Since Mika is hungry, she ate all the cupcakes. The result of an action is the
effect. So, in this sentence, the effect is Mika ate all the cupcakes.
