GETTING TO KNOW IIT MADRAS
Ever since its inception in 1959, IIT Madras has been at the forefront of
innovation and is currently leading the technological sphere, having been
ranked 1st in the NIRF rankings by MHRD, GOI for the 9th consecutive time.
With the rising entrepreneurial trends across the globe, there has been an
expansion of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India as well. In many ways,
this is reflective of the larger trend that we are seeing here at IIT-Madras.
Students are continuously engaged in trying to push their ideas beyond
their labs, hostels and workspaces.
With centers such as CFI, programs such as Nirmaan and organizations
such as the IITM Incubation Cell working at full swing, there is little surprise
therefore to see IIT-Madras dominating the university campus
entrepreneurial space.

Entrepreneurship Cell at IIT Madras believes that entrepreneurship is not
just about starting companies, but a pathway towards India’s socio-
economic development.
VISION
To make students and faculty ‘entrepreneurial’ in every work that they do.
To enable them to solve global challenges, to nurture them and provide
them with opportunities for excellence.
MISSION
E-Cell aims to unlock students’ latent inventive potential. Not only do we
show them the doors of opportunity but we also equip them to walk
through it. Through our conference, social events, lectures, speaker
engagements and workshops, we’re hoping to bring together everyone
interested in the startup world and to help students best utilize

WHAT IS E-21
When we are younger, the sky seems a little brighter and the world seems
so full of opportunities and wonder. We are curious and we ask a million
questions. Somewhere along the line this flame of curiosity is losing its spirit.
It is imperative that we help the school students see the power of curiosity
and innovation, the core skills which help them become awesome idea
generators. E-21 is driven by this curiosity. It helps students understand the
power of the entrepreneurial mindset and help them excel in this fast
changing 21st century.
VISION
E-21 aims to give wings to the million ideas in young minds across the
nation and identify entrepreneurial talent from the grassroots of India. We
aim to inculcate 21st-century skills in school students from all backgrounds
of India and help them apply entrepreneurship thinking to their daily life.
We plan to bring creative ideas to life through proper mentorship and
guidance
EVENT
During E-21, educators from different sectors will celebrate examples of
successful 21st-century learning and illustrate how entrepreneurship
empowers all of our learners to gain the skills they need. Through different
workshops cum lectures series, educators will teach students about how to
think creatively and make innovations happen.

THE EVENT
NIEO
National Innovation and Entrepreneurial Olympiad is a nationwide
competitive event to discover the hidden entrepreneur and leader inside
the students. Its aim is to initiate the student's journey into the
entrepreneurial world through a comprehensive test conducted to test
their aptitude.
IDEATION WORKSHOP
A dynamic webinar series fostering problem recognition, creative thinking,
and problem-solving skills. Students learn the art of innovation,
understanding real-world challenges, and crafting inventive solutions.
MARKETMINDS FORUM
In-depth market research sessions, including user research, Industry
Analysis, and competitor analysis. Expert-guided exploration of market
dynamics to validate and refine ideas.
PROTOTYING PHASE AND MENTORING
Hands-on prototyping, technical guidance, and mentorship. Transform
validated ideas into tangible prototypes with the help of experienced
mentors. Participants receive continuous support to convert their ideas
into impactful ventures.
FINALE E-SUMMIT 2024-25
E-Summit will be the finale of E-21 involving participants pitching their
ideas in front of judges. It will also help the students increase their
network, as well as interact in person with the other teams, giving and
taking ideas. The students will also have the opportunity to explore
various other events which are part of E-Summit.
