Testing:
Control systems:
- It is possible to test fire extinguisher system
via control system in service mode.
NOTE: SQUIP MUST REMOVE BEFORE TESTING.

In case of fire, fire extinguisher system can be


launch in next cases.

Remote Control:
- When fire extinguisher button has been pressed,
relay contacts close and launch the Fire extinguisher system.

Automation mode:
- Operator in control room can launch fire extinguisher system
via XD1:14 (control system).

MODULE IN:
901 This is control system input.
1/19 XD2:18 (Fire Detected, DI)

Fire extinguisher system will be send signal (FIRE)


to the control system input, when it is activated
manually or automatically.

+24V:
902 This is control system output.
1/25 XD1:1 (Fire Ext. Activation, DO)

This output feeds +24V via XJ0023 to the


fire extinguisher system.

S3045:
The pressure switch is connected to the actuation line
hose of the fire extinguisher system

LOW PRESSURE (normal situation)


Pressure switch is C -> NC position.
Contacts are open.

HIGH PRESSURE (Fire extinguisher system launched)


Pressure switch is C -> NO position.
After this, signal goes into control system input
XD1:20 (Emergency stop, DI).
This will start emergency stop functions.
- Engine stopped
- All outputs (+24V) goes down

10 GENERAL INTERLOCKS: 117 Emergency steering pump (XM1/17) (Option)

Module digital output short-circuit protection: Testing the emergency steering:
Each digital output (DO) has a internal protection. Output is set to passive state if short-circuit to ground. - Function is switched on(Emergency steering test button pressed, option selected on)
- Engine not running
The interlocks of the functions: - Test timer running (max. time, parameter)
- Door is closed
Functions are allowed when all control system I/O - modules are up and running - Emercency stop is not active
(Enable is active) and following conditions are met. Note: when control system
is starting (few seconds after main switch is turned on), functions are not allowed. Engine has cut-off in an unusual way (e.g. in manual mode: engine is stopped but
ignition key is on running position), output is active for a few seconds (parameter).
