SEWING INSTRUCTIONS
turtleneck

Cut out your pattern pieces from the fabric following

the grainline.

Be careful not to stretch the fabric when tracing and

selvedge
cutting. This might result in puckered seams.

For knitted fabric, it’s better to use a ballpoint stretch

needle that will glide through your fabric rather than
puncture it.

To hem the sleeves, fold the edges 1/4 in (0,6 cm)

towards the inside of the fabric and sew along.

Here, I don’t double-fold since the fabric does not fray.

With right sides together, fold the sweater in half,

aligning both side edges and pin in place.

Sew along both sides from the sleeve hemline to the

bottom of the sweater.

I don’t finish the seam with a serger here because

the fabric won’t fray, but you can if you want a more
finished look.

Turn your sweater right side out

Fold the bottom hem of the sweater 1/4 in (0,6 cm)

towards the inside and sew along all the way around.

Fold the neckband in half, right sides facing and sew

along the edge.

Lay your sweater inside out and insert the neckband

upside down into the garment aligning the neckband
seam with the middle of the sweather bodice.

Right sides of the sweater and neckband should be

facing and have raw edges aligned.

Pin all 3 layers of fabric together

Sew around the neckline as shown.
