R2D2

Materials:

G hook
Fiberfill
Grey, White yarn
Blue embroidery floss
A lense looking eye
A silver bead
Black nail polish
Coragated cardboard

Notes:

Gauge in this pattern isn't really important when done R2D2 should be about 5 1/4 inches tall.

Body: In gray
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: "Sc 1, increase in next sc" around (18)
Rnd 4: "Sc 2, increase in next sc" around (24)
Rnd 5: "Sc 3, increase in next sc" around (30)
Rnd 6: "Sc 4, increase in next sc" around (36)
Rnd 7-13: Sc in each sc around
Finish off then attach white
Rnd 14-25:Sc in each sc around
Rnd 26: "Sc 4, decrease" working in back part of stitch only (30)
Rnd 27: "Sc 3, decrease around" working in both parts of stitch (24)
Rnd 28: "Sc 2, decrease around", stuff
Rnd 29: "Sc 1, decrease around"
Rnd 30: decrease around

Feet (make 3)
Cut a piece of cardboard 3/4" by 1"
Row 1: sc 6
Row 2: in second sc from hook sc, continue sc in rest of the sc turn
Row 3-4: "sc across, sc 1" turn

Rnd 1: begin to stitch around entire bottom of foot (16)


Rnd 2: place one rectangle in the bottom of foot, stitch around decreasing once on each side (12)
Rnd 3: sc around decreasing only on the longer sides till there are 8 sc left, stuff

Arms (make 2)
Rnd 1: sc 6 in magic ring
Rnd 2: increase in each stitch (12)
Rnd 3: sc around
Rnd 4: decrease 4 times then stitch in the last 4 sc (7)
Rnd 5-9: sc around
Rnd 10: increase 1 sc, stuff, then attach to foot

Assembly:
Attach one foot to the bottom of R2D2 in the middle. Attach arms to body at a slight angle.
Sew/crochet control panels on using the blue embroidery floss. Glue on eye. Put a small black dot
on the silver bead then attach bead to head.
