PREFACE
The principles of God have to be followed
to the latter, if you have to prosper. The
bible says: As long as the earth continue
to rotate around the sun with all the
plants equal to task, the following will
shall continue:
• Seedtime (investment) and harvest time.
• Cold and heat seasons.
• Summer and winter seasons.
• Day and night will go on.
I therefore encourage you to continue
living by God’s principles of creation and
you shall prosper as families, as local
churches, as districts and as conferences
in Zambia.
Bearing this in mind, let your work culture
be gift orientated, talent orientated, and
spiritual orientated.
To God be the glory!!

INTRODUCTION
The whole creation of God is governed by
law. One of the principles governing the
planet earth is the Law of investment.
What is this “law of investment?” This is
the law recorded in Genesis 8:22 and it
reads; “While the earth remaineth,
seedtime and harvest, and cold and
heat, and summer and winter, and day
and night shall not cease.” [KJV]
This scripture will always remind us of the
plain truth that despite changes that take
place in nature, there is a divine order and
stability that governs the natural world.
May I let you know that in this scripture
are eight (8) seasons which are grouped in
four (4) thus:
seedtime and harvest season.
cold and heat season.
summer and winter season.
day and night time.
This law applies to every area of humanity
and nature. To God be the glory.

LESSON 1
THE LAW OF SEEDTIME
AND HARVEST TIME.
Lesson Objective:
• Learners should be able to explain what
seed time and harvest time is.
• Learners should be able to tell when it is
seed time and harvest time.
• Learners should be able to say who the
planters and harvesters are.
Text Reading Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and har-
vest, and cold and heat, and summer and win-
ter, and day and night shall not cease. [KJV]
To paraphrase this portion of scripture I
would say; “As long as the earth exists,
planting (investing) and harvesting, cold
and heat, summer and winter, day and
night will never stop.”
The law of Seedtime and Harvest may al-
so be called the law of sowing (investing)
and reaping. This is unchanging fact.
6
This spiritual principle puts much emphasis
on prosperity that you directly experience
in your every day life. The law is related
to the “seed” you plant (your actions or ac-
tivities you do). If you did saw the seed of
wisdom, diligence, or investing strategical-
ly, you have cultivated a future ripe with
(financial) abundance.
What is seedtime?
This is the season of investing (sowing). It
can also be said to be a period of original
development. Ecclesiastes says; To every-
thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven: A time to be born,
and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time
to pluck (harvest) up that which is planted;
• This means that there is a fixed time
for every business under the sun. You
can not go for harvest when planting
season has been overlooked.
• The order of events is that you must
plant first, then harvest time comes.
• If planting season was overlooked then
forget about harvest time.
7
What is harvest time?
This is the rejoicing period. A period
that precedes planting (investing), wa-
tering and weeding.
Now between seed time and harvest, it
is important to know that our seed de-
termines our harvest. Harvest time fol-
lows seed time. Apart from that the
type of soil in which you sow determines
your harvest. Soil which is not fertile
can retard growth of your good seed,
hence give you poor harvest.
• Now, Get this wisdom (understanding)
every good thing you do to people is a
seed. Your season of harvest is com-
ing. Ruth the decision she made of
following Naomi was a seed sowing
time for which she was to be remem-
bered, and she was remembered.
• Whatever help you give to people it
means you are sowing seed. Grace for
harvest will follow you because after
seed time follows harvest time.
8
• God’s law does not change when you
plant expect to harvest because after
plating is harvest time. Remember He
said; “While the earth remains, seed-
time and harvest, …… shall not cease.
• Unfortunately lot of believers today
have ignored seedtime, but very much
living in expectation of harvest. The
law of seasons does not operate in that
way. Follow the order of seasons.
Prayer for investment and Harvest:
O Lord, from the very beginning of your
time, you commanded the earth to bring
forth vegetation and fruit of every kind.
You did provide the sower with seed and
give bread to eat. Grant me o Lord I
pray, that this land, enriched by your
bounty and cultivated by human hands,
be fertile with abundant crops.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.

LESSON 2
WEEK 2 COLD AND HEAT TIMES.
Lesson Objective:
• Learners should be able to explain the bib-
lical understanding of cold and heat times.
• Learner should be able to tell when it is
cold time and heat time.
Text Reading Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and har-
vest, and cold and heat, and summer and win-
ter, and day and night shall not cease. [KJV]
From seed and harvest times follows cold
and heat times. What is cold and heat
times?
Cold and hot times are often used to rep-
resent feelings toward something. In
scripture cold means having stopped fol-
lowing Jesus. Not being active in the
things of God. Revelation 3:15 - 16 is say-
ing; 15 “I know your works: you are neither
cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold
or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and
neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my
10
mouth.
This means that God:
• Knows of our works. Whether you are
active or not. For the non active God
will have nothing to do with them.
• God does not take pleasure in lukewarm
things. Anything of lukewarm He spits.
If you are lukewarm be assured that
God will spit you at an appropriate time.
• God is not interested and does not
make use of anything that is lukewarm.
• I therefore encourage you to be active
in the things of the spirit, and this can
only be better for you when you choose
to broaden the scope of your ministry
through effective participation.
• Take note that skill in ministry is only
developed by practice and participation.
(1Samuel 16:18). This is about David the
son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, he was
skilful in playing musical instruments.
What are cold times (seasons) spiritually:
This is a wake-up call for personal de-
velopment in your spiritual life.
11
It is a moment of reflection . You are
being told to slow down and reflect on
your spiritual life.
It is a moment of digging deeper into
your soul, through searching scriptures.
It is also a signal of change. It is like
someone is telling you that a change is
in the horizon, get prepared.
Its yet another moment of spiritual
recovery. During the process of healing
you must allow your self to heal.
A moment of gaining clear understand-
ing of one’s path and purpose.
In conclusion on being cold we must say;
when God says you are cold, then He is
saying to you and me that we must wake-
up and reflect on our spiritual life then
respond accordingly.
What are hot times (seasons) spiritually.
“1 My God, my God, why have you forsak-
en me? Why are you so far from saving
me, from the words of my groaning? 2 O
my God, I cry by day, but you do not an-
swer, and by night, but I find no rest.”
12
(Psalm 22:1-2). This was the cry of Da-
vid when he was passing through a hot
season.
A hot season, for Christians is a moment
of: (Ephesians 4:22)
Putting away relationships of our earlier
life.
Putting off the old man, which has be-
come evil by love of deceit.
Making new the spirit of our mind.
Putting on the new man, to which God
has given life and righteousness.
Take Note: This is not an easy process.
People fall, others even die spiritually.
Hot seasons are very tough times. In na-
ture some weak vegetation that are not
well rooted easily wither and die. It is a
season of high dehydration and so one
needs to be taking a lot of water to main-
tain temperature.
In conclusion, being in a hot season means
someone, being pruned in order to bear
13
new leaves and have healthy fruits.
Take a look at the seasons of Zambia. We
have three major in Zambia seasons:
• Cold and dry season (Winter) running from
May to Mid-August
• Hot and dry season (Summer) running Mid-
August to Mid-.November.
• Hot and wet season (Spring) which runs
from Mid-November to April
• Note: Autumn is not distinct in Zambia
because it is a very short period that
leaves no impact to the weather.
Now, during this Hot and Dry season
(Summer) which is between mid-August
and mid-November, there is much dehy-
dration, but this is the time we see natu-
ral vegetation flourishing, - flesh leaves
shoot out. Generally the whole environ-
ment is greener, yet we are coming from
a cold and dry season (winter).
During the 2023/24 farming season, Zam-
bia was heavily hit by drought such that
harvest was poor in most parts of the
14
country. Nonetheless in summer time
vegetation looked greener and there was
a lot of flowering to fruit trees like man-
go and masuku, in readiness for fruition
as if someone had been heavily watering
the vegetation.
Spiritually - this is what God is expecting
from you and me. Coming from a spiritual
dry and cold season into a hot and dry
season God is expecting you and me to
spiritually flourish. Hot season to you and
me must mean someone, being pruned in
order to bear new leaves and have much
healthy fruits. Why bear new leaves? Be-
cause you are coming from a season of
spiritual self reflection of your life.
• It is not in the rain season that God is
expecting you and me to flower and bear
fruit, but in the hot and dry season.
• Seasons are God’s tools that He uses to
better equip and maintain faith and trust
for his children.
15
• Spiritual seasons are part of God’s plan
for His people and the planet earth to
bring about growth and renewal.
• Every invite in life is connected to a cer-
tain season which God uses to invite His
people to commune with Him in ways that
are appropriate to each season.
• Here are some of the reasons God uses
spiritual seasons to his people:
To fulfil the grand design for the earth
and the people of the earth.
To accomplish His divine purpose for any-
one from birth to death.
To ensure that life is not meaningless for
those that cooperate with God’s timing.
To ensure growth, change and renewal.
Seasons are created and directed by
God. - Daniel 2:20 - 20 Daniel answered and
said, Blessed be the name of God for ever
and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21
And he changeth the times and the seasons:
he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he
giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge
to them that know understanding.
16
What season are you in?
As a Pentecostal Holiness church in Zam-
bia.
As a local church of the Pentecostal Ho-
liness church in Zambia.
An individual member at a local church of
the Pentecostal Holiness church in Zam-
bia.
It is just important for you to know your
season if you have to move in accordance
with God’s season for you.

LESSON 3
WEEK 3 SUMMER AND WINTER
SEASONS.
Lesson Objectives:
• Leaners should be able to state the
activities that go on in summer and
winter times.
• Leaners should be able to tell the
goodness of the summer and winter
seasons.
Text Reading Genesis 8:22
Just after Noah had disembarked from
the ark, God came to him and said this:
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and
harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and
winter, and day and night shall not
cease.” [KJV]
Now, summer time and winter time are
seasons of resting and reflecting. I must
also say; these are times of contemplat-
ing allowing for inward reflection. Just
as the earth lies fallow, so can our souls
18
do. I must also say that this is a period
that is spiritual dormancy and not a sign of
lifeless, but a silent time used in prepara-
tion of spiritual renewal.
In natural winter is a season of contrast.
This time the earth is covered with snow
in some parts of the earth. It is a very
cold period and things (nature) seem not
to be growing. This period also offers
short days and long nights, while giving
beautiful night skies.
To the casual observer it might seem as
though life is coming to an end, yet be-
neath the frost and chill, the promises of
renewal are coming quietly. This quality of
winter is not only an occurrence of the
climate on earth but it is also an image
for our spiritual lives a concept supported
by scripture.
In scripture seasons serve as a powerful
image for the cycles of life and faith. Ec-
clesiastes 3:1-2 says this; “1 To every thing
there is a season, and a time to every purpose
under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a
19
time to die; a time to plant, and a time
to pluck up that which is planted;” This is to
say;
• Every activity has its own season, and
its own time.
• Each activity happen in that season for
a purpose. And examples are given: a
time to saw seeds and a time to harvest
that which was planted.
Winter is a time of pause. It is a moment
of energy and resource conservation for
the growth which is to come.
The idea of resting is very important to
our spiritual health just as it is to the
natural world. The prophet Isaiah says
this; “But they that wait upon the LORD shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up with
wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” -
Isaiah 40:31. This indicates that:
• New strength comes by waiting upon the
Lord.
• Waiting upon the Lord can take you to
higher levels of life and avoid weariness.
20
Winter is a season of trust. We must
trust work being done even when it is not
visible to us. Seeds germinating under-
neath the soil is the readiness for spring.
In this journey of faith we plant seeds
such as; kindness, faith, love, trusting
that in due season they will sprout and
flourish. Galatians 6:9 is encouraging us
to say; “we should not grow weary of doing
good, for in due season we will reap, if we do
not give up.” meaning to say:
• We must trust in God’s timing even
when our spiritual growth seems as
dormant as the frozen ground.
It is from the seasons of hardship that
the most significant spiritual growth
arises.
• Winters are seasons of preparation for pub-
lic ministry. Matthew 1:11 - this was the time
for Jesus’ preparation for public ministry.
• Winters are seasons of strengthening faith
and immense growth.
• Winters are seasons of energy conservation
and protection from harsh conditions.
21
LESSON 4
WEEK 4 DAY AND NIGHT
WILL GO ON.
Lesson Objective:
• Learners should be able to state the dif-
ferences between day and night.
• Learners should able to appreciate day
time.
Text Reading Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and har-
vest, and cold and heat, and summer and win-
ter, and day and night shall not cease. [KJV]
As we conclude the 2025 lessons on stew-
ardship we must understand that there
are eight (8) seasons in the life time of a
believer in Christ. These seasons are:
1) Seed time - A special time for planting so
that in due course there will be rejoicing at
harvest time.
2) Harvest time - A time of rejoicing, eating
want was planted is now ripe for consumption.
3) Cold time - A time when a lot of nature
stops growing. There is hibernation. The
22
weather is harsh but good for prepara-
tion of the next season, when plants will
sprout and start growing new leaves.
4) Heat (hotness) time — A moment of
tribulation, temptation or persecution.
Great heat might mean punishment
while gentle heat might mean favour, or
a reward.
5) Summer time - A season of growth.
Symbolizing divine generosity, nourish-
ment and the joy derived from God’s
blessings. A time when crops are ripen
and ready for harvest.
6) Winter time - This is a season of trails
and struggles. A time when the enemy
takes advantage to attack mercilessly.
It is also a moment of reflection.
7) Day time - Genesis 1:2 defines day as;
beginning at sunset and going to the
next sunset. God calls day when there is
light and night when there is darkness.
8) Night time - signifies darkness, igno-
rance, uncertainty, and sin. On a posi-
tive side this may also represent; divine
revelation and spiritual growth.
23
Now, in this lesson we are discussing Day
and Night. Just after the flood Noah
came out of the ark and immediately God
came to him and delivered a message say-
ing; “Noah, …… day and night shall not
cease.” What message was God delivering
to Noah when he said, “As long as the earth
exists, ……. day and night will never stop.”
Let us begin by defining day and night.
Day Time - In Genesis 1:2 the bible de-
fines day as; beginning at sunset and
going to the next sunset. God calls
day when there is light and night
when there is darkness.
What is day time? It is the length of
period of time during which the earth
makes one full rotation of the earth on its
axis.
Spiritually day is the state of intelligence.
I may also say it is a symbol of how much
has been unfolded. It is a representation
of the mind in which intelligence domi-
nates. It’s the broadness of ones ability
24
to understand and interpret things.
Night Time - This signifies darkness, ig-
norance, uncertainty, and sin.
On a positive side, night time represents
divine revelation, transformation and
spiritual growth. While night may repre-
sent darkness and ignorance I wish to
encourage you to concentrate on the pos-
itive parts night brings.
Spiritually understand that midnight
hour symbolises a move of God to turna-
round situations.
• It was in the night that, while prison-
ers were sleeping Paul and Silas sung
praises to God and He delivered them.
• It was while Adam was asleep, that
God reached in, performed a surgery
and made Eva.
• It was at midnight the God sent an-
gels to liberate Peter who was locked
in the inner prison. God will remain
God be it in the night or day.
25
• In the night while some people might
be resting or sleeping life does not
come to a stand still. Eva was created
when Adam went to sleep. A lot of rev-
elations come in the night.
• When man is asleep God brings a lot of
revelations to him.
• Most visions and dreams are not mare
visions and dreams but revelations
from God and come mostly in the
night, but man only fails to interpret
them.
Midnight revelations
Here are ten scriptures that show the
goodness about nights:
Your salvation may come in the middle of
the night. Exodus 12:29 –32.
Because of his righteous judgments you
can give thanks unto Him even in the mid-
dle of the night. Psalm 119:62.
In the middle of the night you can rise
and carry the gates of the city on your
shoulders. Judges 16:3
26
4. Most dreams are in the night but they
require an interpretation Genesis 40:5
5. Better wresting is in the night because it
might earn you a blessing when you pre-
vail against God. Genesis 32:22 28
6. Top secrets are better revealed in the
night. Daniel 2:19
7. Wrestling with God in the night can bring
you a blessing when you prevail with God.
Genesis 32:22 28
8. Wrestling with God is better done when you
are lone because no one can disturb and so
nights are better. Genesis 32:22 28
27
