Balloon Car

The document discusses the forces acting on a balloon car, highlighting air resistance and friction as key factors in its movement. It explains the conversion of potential energy, stored in the inflated balloon, into kinetic energy when the air is released, propelling the car forward. Additionally, it describes the design choices made for the car, the distances achieved in trials, and potential improvements for future designs.

How The Forces Acted In Are Balloon Car.

The forces that are balloon used while moving forward was air resistance because
it had more area for the air to push thru while the car balloon moved.Air resistance
is a force that air is applied. The friction of the wheel with the ground makes the
balloon car moves.Friction is applied when the balloon car is moving.

moving forward.
How kinetic and potential energy effects are balloon car.

Potential energy is when you inflate the balloon. It stores potential energy.
This energy is due to the compressed air inside the balloon.. The more air you
put into the balloon the greater the potential energy.kinetic energy is When
you release the balloon, the compressed air rushes out. This rapid release of
air propels the car forward converting the stored potential energy into kinetic
energy.
The design of out balloon car.
Our design was builded to move fast and
look good.We used pop sticks for the
name of our garage, and our balloon
model.We used cardboard for the
base, not water bottle, because the water
bottle will be hard to glue the straws for
the cap to move. The car may fall
because of the straws if we use a water
bottle instead of the cardboard.we used
cap like a wheel, not rubber, because
rubber could worn off easily, unlike the
water bottle cap.we used straws to blow
up the balloon, where the air is stored.
The distance of
our balloon car.
Distance
trial Distance Time (S)
(m)

1 1.9m 9 sec

2 1.27m 6 sec

3 0.73m 5 sec

4 0.85m 5.6

5 1.37m 7.8
If we made a new balloon car.
If we made a new balloon car, we will change the
way we used the straw to blow the balloon. Our sraw
did not work much.sometimes it will work
sometimes it wont work.we would tie the straw tight
to the balloon so it won't fall.
