The Adventures of
Adam the Atom
Once upon a time, there was a tiny atom named Adam. Adam was
so small that no one could see him without a special microscope.
Adam lived in a world full of other atoms. Together, they made
everything around us!
Adam was made up of three parts: protons, neutrons, and
electrons. Protons were like little balls with a plus sign (+), neutrons
were like balls with no sign (0), and electrons were tiny balls with a
minus sign (-). Adam had protons and neutrons in his center, called the
nucleus. His electrons zoomed around the nucleus like planets
around the sun.
One day, Adam decided to explore and learn about the different
ways atoms could join together. He found his friend, Ella the
Electron. “Ella,” Adam said, “let's go on an adventure and see what we
can make with other atoms!” Ella was excited. “Let's go!”
First, they met another atom named Ollie. Adam and Ollie shook
hands, and their electrons danced around. When they joined
together, they made something new: water! Water was made of two
hydrogen atoms like Adam and one oxygen atom like Ollie.
Adam felt happy. “Wow, we made water! Water is so important. Plants,
animals, and people need water to live.”
Next, they met a carbon atom named Carla. Carla had many friends because carbon atoms
loved to make different things. When Adam, Ollie, Carla, and their friends joined together,
they made sugar! Sugar gave energy to many living things.

After a long day, Adam and Ella returned home. Adam was tired
but happy. He learned that atoms could join together to make
everything in the world. Water, sugar, trees, and the stars in the sky
were made of atoms.
Adam smiled and said to Ella, “We are small, but we are very
important. Together, we make everything!”
Adam the Atom continued to explore, discovering new things with his friends. He knew
that he was tiny, but he played a big part in the world.
The end.
