Dearest Mayor:

My almost four years of invaluable public service experience, plus my proven


record of successfully carrying out tasks and designated projects, should qualify me for
a position that would even further my competence and commitment to our local
government under your persistent vision of working towards progress and unity.

My business education background is grounded in both academic and real-world


outcomes, having obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and
possessing a professional license in teaching (LPT), I established myself as an
educational leader and business-academic especially after completing my Masters in
Business Management (MBM) from Capitol University (CU) in 2020. And in the midst of
the pandemic, my zeal for learning and research, fuelled by a strong determination to be
of greater service to others made me pursue and eventually finish my Doctor in
Management (DM) from CU in 2022. My worthwhile and commendable teaching
performance during these years as a member of the academe, in Gingoog City Colleges
Inc. specifically, will tell you that I have honed well my people-management and service-
oriented skills.

Putting aside my educational background, my social involvement and sense of


community service, as I have assessed, would be my most formidable asset. Early on in
my career, I have always valued the strength of building-up people and communities
and giving importance to collaboration and human linkages. My organizational
affiliations and the socio-civic causes that I have either involved myself into or perhaps
even promulgated alongside like-minded individuals would vouch for that. I have
considered myself a people-smart person who possesses commendable interpersonal
communication skills and efficient leadership traits. For this, I have made one of the
most defining decisions in my life: to serve in our local government. This is where I have
felt most alive, cliché as it would seem. But you cannot see Johmar without being
surrounded by people. Being and interacting with people in all walks of life and
aspirations.

It has been said that I am a “goal-getter” because everything that I consider to


have accomplished by far, I have passionately acquired and with dedication achieved at
my age now. Yet, despite all these I would like to believe that I have remained as
humble as I was when I began. My life’s trajectory has been one of resilience, hard
work, and relentless optimism. And all of these has made me want to pursue even
higher goals that is to be of more worth to others through genuine service.
