What is magic?

For me it’s the thousands of words shell

packed with the smell of new mysteries. Dear reader, you
must have heard the phrase ‘Books take you to places’, but let
me walk you through it. Each book has its own persona, each
character has his own life, each incident has a pre-defined
meaning, and when all these come together, they form a
whole new world. When the world weighs heavy on your
shoulder, haven’t these sublime stories provided you with a
solace? A temporary escape, a cozy space that is just yours.
When a person completely gets absorbed in the
methodological workings of a world building, when they start
living the adventures with the main character, that is when I
believe one truly starts enjoying reading. That is when they
get addicted. And this addiction is good for it ignites the
spark of creation in you.
Every reader wants to be a writer. Truer words never have
been said. Look at me! Don’t we all just want to be known?
But only a brazen few have the courage to do so. But what if
there was a way to endorse and showcase yourself without
this fear? That’s where writing comes in. Writing here doesn’t
just means a novel, it can ever be a simple letter with random
sentences. Too much on your chest? Pens things down. Want
people to understand your feelings while being discreet? Take
a quill and edge things into a poem. A hopeless romantic? A
college romance with all the cliches that you feel shy to admit
you like? Turn it into a story and no one will judge. Want to
go on dangerous adventures, fight monsters and solve
mysteries? Ba-dum, a thriller is on its way!
After reading quite a few works of the same author you’ll
start to notice a pattern. A little of the author’s true self in
the characters. Some let it on easily, those who want to be
instantly recognized. Some are extremely good at hiding it, a
challenge for their beloved readers. But it is always there,
waiting to be found, waiting to be seen. A secret conversation
between the author and the hundreds of people who read
their work. Doesn’t it excite you? A covert way to converse
with the rest of the world?
Those who realise this tradition, being only a reader is not a
choice. They want to explore this little idea and see where it
can take them. Where will they go? Where will the story go?
Who will get hurt? Who will have a happy ending? With so
much to delve into, with a chance to create a world on their
own, where they can decide everything. Who can pass on this
kind of freedom.
And so they pick up their pens and start a journey from
where there’s no turning back. A place to inspire and a plane
to be. A secret freedom that’s only theirs. And so this
whirlwind of a journey continues on.
