- The quest board at the mages guild bar where quests are usually hung by

common people who are willing to give coin for the person who’s willing to
help them accomplish their task.
- Mentor is an old homeless looking wizard and he travels with protagonist his
foolish and trusty squire.
- They had no money to go on and there was only one quest in the board, a
quest by an unknown to retrieve the « Dragon Cry » from the Ruins of
Caratan.
- Protagonist hesitated and was not comfortable about taking the quest since it
was an S Rank quest and he was just a squire, and he wouldn’t provide much
help to Mentor.
 Mentor and protagonist left the town walking on foot with protagonist
holding alot of equipement and bags.
 Mentor took protagonist as a squire when he was a boy with no where to
go, he taught him how to fight and use the sword.
 Mentor and Protagonist left to find the Ruins of Caratan.
 It will be a long way and we need to be careful not to get lost.
 They traveled in many biomes.
 The ruins were huge and overwhelming to look at
 They saw the Ruins from a far and were happy that they did.
 The Ruins are a Mirrage.
 Confused, the map says the ruins are supposed to be here !
 They saw a desert watercreature running and they knew that
watercreatures only live where there is water so they followed it.
 Mentor and Protagonist arrived at the Ruins of Caratan.
 They felt relieved as they unpacked and setup camp to rest for the night
in front of the ruins.

 The Entrance was a huge circular door with runes and patterns
surrounding it, impossible to move.
 Protagonist used the runes in his arm to conjure a sword and tried to
brute force his way in but it was protected with ancient magic and it threw him
back
 It was midday and mentor and protagonist needed to find a way in before
they dry out.
 They felt Frustrated as there is no handle or any other way in other than
the main door
 Mentor was observing the entrance and noticed that the animals in the
door can be turned and clicked, it’s a puzzle.
 The door was huge, with 3 circles in the center that had symbols of
animals on each one, a shark, a bear and a bat, they tried clicking them !
 The two backed away as the door started shaking and the ground wasn’t
steady,
 The door stopped shaking,
 Anxious, the combination must be wrong and the entrance is so old that
it couldn’t take another wrong try.
 Protagonist noticed painting that showed in the rebble that fell when the
door was shaking and they had biomes where those animals could live, they
tried the combination and it worked.
 They Entrance to the Ruins of Caratan opened.
 The two jumped in before the entrance collapsed, they need to find
another way out.

 Long bridge, thin enough to carry one man at a time with a bottomless
end and alot of spider webs.
 Protagonist uses the runes on his arm to conjure the sword for light, this
is all possible because Mentor tattooed those runes on his arm.
 It was the only way to go, the path behind them is blocked with rebble.
 Protagonist felt brave and decided to go ahead because he was lighter
 He went in recklessly and mentor held him as he almost fell and they
went on slowly together.
 The main hall door was right over there in front of them at the end of the
bridge and they already made it halfway through.
 Thy developped a rythme for their coordinated movement so they got
faster as they got closer to the end.
 They heard steps all arround them, ginat spiders got them cornered.
 They faught and were fearing that the floor is falling under them slowly,
 The faught back to back as they pushed slowly towards the other end of
the bridge.
 Mentor and protagonist finally arrived at the main hall.
 The approache cautiously because they don’t know if there are traps or
not.
- And there it was, the Dragon Cry, right in the middle of the room, on a small
table.
- The two look at eachother and go slowly to recover it without triggering any
trap
- When they took the dragon cry in their hands, skellies starrted waking up from
the ground.
- It was too much, the two took a defensive pose and started fighting.
 Party fighting skellies in the main hall
 Mentor used too much mana, he can’t go on like this for long
 To win or to die.
 Brave and energetic since they already got their target.
 They faught as hard as they could
 The main hall full of skellies
 Just a few skellies left, they were losing.
 Skellies stopped moving and the ground shook, scorpion came out of the
ground and attacked.
 There’s no way we can beat that thing.
 Mentor uses his last spell to cast sheild
 Mentor adds more tattoos to protagonist’
 Protagonsit is feeling the strength, mentor faints.

 the sheild collapsed, protagonist is facing the scorpion

 Mentor took me in as a child and raised me like his own boy and now i
see him die in front of me, i’ll be the best mage there is for myself and for
Mentor !
 Mentor died.
 Enraged.
 Fight.
 The main hall was crumbling down as the two wer fighting
 Protagonist was overwhelming the scorpion with his attacks, the latter
was backing up
 The scorpion stung protagonist with his needle.
 Proaesthetic arm, poison has no effect.
 Last slash
 protagonist won the fight against the scorpion.
 He was tired and fell on the ground to rest.
