The entire point of me writing this is solely to discuss different topics regarding the everlasting
“G.O.A.T” debate whether, it’s Michael Jordan or LeBron James, or someone else for that
matter like, Kobe let’s say because not everyone has LeBron ahead of him in the best ever talk.
I am hoping to only inform and discuss all the information that I have researched for hundreds of
hours of reading articles, and watching videos and interviews of former coaches, players,
opponents, teammates, and fans as well. From the highschool days through college (if they
went) and then of course, the NBA. Now, for fairness, I have only calculated and compared
Jordan’s first thirteen seasons in the league, which includes his prime right up to the end of his
second 3-Peat with the Chicago Bulls. Sorry LeBron supporters, his records and accolades that
have been “acquired” over time won’t appear here, it’s arbitrary to the premise.
If you’ve chosen to read this, I will let you know that I am not trying to convince anybody of
anything they don’t already believe. I am only trying to discuss the context of certain topics in a
more revealing way, shing a little light on certain angles that may or may not make a player look
better or even look worse but that is not the intent of this writing, only to dig in on the details of
situations that I believe, is the only legitimate and dignified way of any sort of comparison of
ANY player to another player.
It’s not just a pragmatic approach but, it is seemingly unfair to a player to compare them to
another player (especially Jordan or LeBron) and not take into account the situational conditions
in which the events in deed took place is, disrespectful to the players, and insulting to real fans
of basketball. What you end up with in the end are hollow and half-ass stats that bloat one side
of an argument only to proclaim that you’re being completely impartial. For example, rule
changes, if you don't consider the impact of the rules being either implemented or changed
completely then, to most people, your information comes under a false pretense, whether it’s
intended or not.
Understanding the way something has happened or why, is more vital than just knowing that
something indeed did happen. It is in the context where the truth lives and hides.
