Topic: Discussion on the rights of the transgender community

The United Nations General Assembly,


Discussing the role of media in upliftment of the transgender community,

Deeply concerned about about the bullying problems faced by the transgender youth,

1. Recommends that proper law should be formed against hate crimes due to religious
aspects;
2. Considers that media is a fairly dominating industry in present times, so
advertisements, and teachings about the community can help in guiding the youth on
the right path;
3. Suggests the countries that criminalize homosexuality should decriminalize it;
4. Requests the countries that still believe that homosexuality is a mental illness, to
declassify homosexuality as a mental illness;
5. Urges all the nations to focus on the healthcare of the community, as HIV is a big
concern for the community;
6. Further requests all countries to recognise same-sex marriage and adoption rights for
the community;
7. Encourages all nations to allow the transgender community to serve openly in the
military;
8. Encourages the department of health, human services, education, justice should
increase awareness among common people by-
○ Eliminating hatred from the hearts towards any gender;
○ Teaching them the acceptance of all genders and community;
○ Helping them to come out of the hatred and shame from being any specific
gender and live with freedom and equality;
9. Emphasizes that every LGBTQ community members should feel a sense of
belongingness and acceptance in common society;

10. Urges all member nations to establish safe spaces, such as counsellor’s offices, where
students can safely discuss gender issues and bullying;
11. Recommends all member nations to refuse to tolerate any bullying or transphobia,
even from teachers or other adults;
12. Requests all member nations to provide legal prostitution as stop HIV spread amongst
transgenders;
13. Urges all member nations to Preach or speak at a local community of faith, such as a
synagogue, church or mosque about transgenders;
14. Emphasis to protect characteristics in law against hate crimes and hate speech
incitement to hatred or violence;
15. Recommending promoting acceptance and understanding of transgender people issue
among law enforcement personnel through targeted training programmes;
16. Urges all the countries to adopt protective policies at the workplace;

17. Suggests investigating, prosecuting and providing a remedy for acts of violence
torture and ill-treatment against LGBT adults;

18. Suggests nations establish Anti-bullying organizations in response to transgender


bullying;

19. Emphasize that physical, sexual, mental, and behavioural health care that is
accessible, affordable, and delivered by providers who are both skilled in trans-
specific care and provide services in a trans-affirming manner;
20. Calls upon a proper population and statistics and data count of LGBTQ community,
acid helps in finding mode solutions and prevention on discrimination;
21. Urges more funding from developed countries and UN bodies such as IMF & World
Bank for GIPP to accomplish its motives;

● Establishes the creation of an international program/sub-committee sponsored by


UNHRC and its participating developed/developing nations called “Gender Identity
Protection Program- GIPP’
● GIPP must cover all countries which are marked as sponsors and signatories of
Resolution UNHRC 1.0;
● In an attempt to reduce the number of human rights violation against the
Transgender community incidents, the UNHRC must make sure that a meeting
is conducted every 5 months to discuss future plans and effectiveness of past
steps taken by the sub-committee;
● GIPP must also establish a Toll-Free hotline for anyone in the world to contact
with questions about “Gender Dysphoria; Identity issues and rescue from
violent surroundings” among other problems that the community members
might face in partnership with local authorities of respective council members;
